As for moi, I'm into Grunge. Alternative. Psychadelic trance. (Good) Hip-Hop. And ridiculously epic bands like The Beach Boys an the JH experience.
I also don't shy away from the artists people are afraid to like i.e. 50 cent and Nickelback. They have some pretty decent material if you filter through the crap.

Rock for me. That's the only way I think to describe what I like... Pearl Jam are the one band I'm really in to, though I'm fairly open to most bands - like Sibs, I can't stand any of this generic rubbish like Kaiser Chiefs or Arctic Monkeys!! No thank you! I still like Incubus a lot, but I've gone off them a bit with their previous two albums. Same with Foo Fighters and Chili Peppers.
What I really like as well is the solo work of John Frusciante. In particular, his collaborations with Josh Klinghoffer and Ataxia - awesome! :D

I've moved heavily into folk music over the last couple of years but i still listen to plenty of other stuff. I dont like anything too heavy or that lacks an understandable language.

My roots are in punk and all the related stuff such as hardcore and ska/dub, branching out further into folk, reggae, a bit of metal/metalcore and a bit of hip-hip and the like. So open to many genres really, but I generally dislike the generic, dull, 'indie' Kaiser Monkeys etc.
Stuff I'm currently enjoying includes Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip (listen to 'A Letter From God to Man' and 'Angles' off their myspace - much as I hate myspace, both tracks are brilliant), Clann Zu and Warsawpack both split up years ago, but are both awesomely wonderful and will likely always rank among my favourite bands, and I'm also liking 'Campfire Punk Rock' by Frank Turner - folky punky stuff and I'll be getting some more CDs by him - this one's just an EP.

I seem to be only interested in soundtracks at the moment. Not surprising considering there are so many greats out right now. Batman, Wall-E, etc.
Anyway, according to Last.fm, my interests are:
Soundtrack, indie, singer-songwriter, female vocalists, rock, instrumental, alternative, folk, live, classic rock, acoustic, chillout, electronic.
If you have a last.fm account, you can find out yours here.
Not keen on rap or heavy metal.
That said, someone I know has been playing a lot of heavy metal and it's kinda.. growing on me.

I'm a hip-hop head mainly, but I also like rock, enjoy metallica and love a good guitar solo. (Please note that by hip-hop I don't mean **** like Soulja Boy and Lil wayne etc etc.)

At the moment it's mostly Hard Rock, Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal here. But I'm also Power/Folk/Doom Metal-curious. As may be clear from my posts in the thread for what people are listening to... and there's also a tolerance of Prog and Punk going on.
