Sorry for stealing your thread Geffdof. Blimey it's been so long since the end of the last series, I can hardly remember what happened.

Anyway here's the article, I'll comment on the new episode when it's shown. Till then here's an interesting article. :)

I thought this was a good episode, one of the best so far (Only behind Desmonds ep IMO). I liked the long flashback sequence, explained Michaels motives for getting on the boat.

I was sure that when Sayid 'outed' Michael to the captain he was about to turn around and say "I know" and end up working for Ben as well, oh well I'm sure the're 30-odd more episodes for that bombshell!

Can't beleive Rossoau (sp?) has been killed, thought she was getting her own episode soon?

Not a bad episode, predictable ending. Ben may actually be one of the "good guys" but he can be a real co**face sometimes and i'm looking forward to him getting whats coming to him.

Sad ending but i expect it'll be nothing compared to when you see Jin die. I would think they're setting him up for a Charliesque sacrifice in the next couple of episodes.
It was a flash-forward(Sun) and flash-back(Jin) episode so Jin will die soon, most likely trying to get away. There was actually the Oceanic 8 but as Kate said in court, 2 died.
As for the 6. I dont think Sayid counts amongst them. He's working for Ben and the guy who he killed on the golf course didnt know him (despite the fact the others are world famous).

This is the way that me and my mate saw it when we watched it last night, thinking about it again I'm not certain Sun was flash-forwarded and Jin was flash-backed just to confuse us.

I'm watching it again on Wednesday with the other half so no doubt my viewpoint will change again.

Oh and the Oceanic 6 are Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun & Aaron. Plus we know that Ben makes it off the island at some point also. We're also wondering what makes Desmond go back to island seeing as he was so desperate to get off, or would he not be counted as one of the Oceanic 6?

Oh, and why are Michael and Walt not counted as the part of the Oceanic 6?

Actually, me, my mum, an uncle and his partner were discussing this weeks ago and we don't think that Aaron is one of the Oceanic 6. Instead, Kate just named her own child Aaron, and the writers used this to mislead us. That's just what I think anyway.

Also, I believe Jin is still alive while Sun and Hurley are at the gravestone. He claimed to have been married for 2 months, although when he was on the island he was wearing a wedding ring. So he must be married to someone else and Sun doesn't know about it.

So many possibilities...

So it was Michael afterall. Why doesn't he want them to trust the Captain though?

Yeah a sad ending :( they teased us running two flash backs at once making us think they were together.

So how many surivors was it? 8? So far we've got Jack, Hurley, Kate, Sayid, Sun, Aaron, have I missed anyone?

Seeing as Michael has to come back to the island some in the next couple of episodes, and that being far easier said than done, then it would make sense for it to be michael.

I'll be upset if it is though, as it's just over complicating things IMO.

The biggest question in my mind is of the four toed statue and a confirmation of the identity of Jacob.

I think it's 1 of 3 options.
Michael
Walt
Jacob, who if i remember correctly has some sort of godlike power to see everyone.

So who's on the boat? Why does John need to sit down? Do you think it is Michael then?

It must be something good for him to let him out on his own "I'll see you at dinner".

You stole that theory off me!

I thought it was a great episode and asks a load more questions. I liked the touch about the book from the Black Pearl, I assume that this will link back to Rosseau's (sp?) advertised episode at some point.

Sucks that we only have two more episodes till the forced 4-week wait and the shortened series, I can't help but think that this will effect the series finally...

Yeah I thought this was a great episode, if a little far-fetched (I suppose the whole idea is). Although I thought they were supposed to be answering questions, not asking more :@

It was surely Michael who opened the door to the sick bay, anyone else think the same? He's probably Ben's spy.

That episode was really good, even if it wasn't terribly progressive in nature. The ending with the phonecall was really sweet. I almost cried. ALMOST.

So Penny's father bought a book that mentioned the island from someone from the Black Perl? That old boat on the island?

Also what did it mean in the journal, Desmond is my constant?

Oh and it looks like you were all wrong, the sickness that Desmond was warned about turned out to be true. (Or only if you've had a heavy dose of radiation)

So who smashed up the radio and opened the door? Do you think it's the spy working for Ben? Maybe it's the eye patch guy who killed Charlie, he's snuck onto the boat, he's got to be someone that guy seems to be invisible.

I thought it was brilliant, it actually had flash-backs that were interesting and obviously relevant to the plot.

I don't really see how it's heading too sci-fi, all you need to know is that because of the bunker incident, he can experience flash backs like a sort of lucid dream.

Still, very annoying when Penny was about to give some information on The Island and the signal breaks up!

I had assumed the other 40 people had died or are believed to have died on the island, which is why they say the 8 survivors...

That explaination is probably too simple though...

We didn't talk about the previous episode where Sayid was working for Ben. What did Ben say to him when he was cleaning up his wound? Was it something about doing all this to help the others on the island? I have to wonder if the others still on the island are still their by choice or not. All these future-backs are confusing. You'll remember we saw some where Jack was trying to get back to the Island. Was that before or after the ones we're watching now? I'm guessing after as he seems to be doing well and in the old future-back he seemed all messed up.

I couldn't hear what the boys name was at the end, so I was surprised when Chaos said it was Aaron. I wonder why Kate has him and why Jack doesnt want to see him. Could it be because Jack is his uncle and he's found out about Claire being his half sister?

Maybe whatever disease kills mothers on the island finally killed Claire?

Okay I have a question, where are the 'Others'? It's been so long since I saw the last season that I can't remember what happened. Ben was leading them somewhere, then went off somewhere and got caught. Where are the 'Others' then? And what was so special about that one guy who we were briefly introduced to, who talked about Jacob.

The playing card thing was interesting, perhaps they know about the powers this island has.

Lets home the next episode is more interesting, I want to see Walt and hear the explaination of why he's bigger now.

What I find more interesting, is the test with the cards.

Now, there's no way that anyone, let alone a physics buff, would fail to memorise three cards.

Are they testing for new psychic powers?

Well there are 2 reasons they could be the referred to as the Oceanic 6. Either the others are still on the island and dont want to be found or they're dead.

I think he counts as one of the Oceanic Six, something must happen to Claire, or something puts her into a situation where she gives up Aaron to Kate.

As for the story of only 8 surviving the crash, this is probably to protect the rest of the survivors who don't want to be discovered. Though why they say 8 instead of 6 suggests that there are two deaths that are of public notice when "evacuating" people from the island.

Interesting.

Just finished Episode 4

Does Aaron count as one of the 6 or not? Plus why Are they saying only 8 people survived the crash instead of the 40 plus that really did. I'm quite intrigued, but so far this season hasnt grabbed me the way the other seasons did.

Interesting episode but not the most action packed. They're still really dragging out the boat storyline.
