The numbers are always ever present, in that episode for example, the code to the barrier was 1623.

You wern't wrong about this being an awesome episode, this was easily the best episode so far and further cemented Ben as my favourite character. That bloke is a leg-end.

I was really shocked they chose to kill off Alex, although I suppose it does go some way to furthering the conflict between Ben and Charles. Speaking of which, Charles was in control of the island before Ben? I'm asuming this was when Ben came to the island with his dad as a boy (I'm basing this off the fact Charles referred to him as such). The ending was also interesting, so it turns out that Sayid was not working his way through the names to kill Charles but he is actually after Penny, looking forward to the episode he (and maybe Desmond) work that one out.

Ben controlling the black smoke was also cool, suggests that either DHAMRA created it or at least worked out how to harness it.

Also do you think that the new plan of Locke, Ben and Hurley finding Jacob is what caused Hurley to wish he hadn't gone with Locke in his flash-foward? Still not sure why Hurley can find the cabin now and Locke can't but I'm assuming the numbers will come into it somehow as they've not been mentioned in a while.

Aww I was dying to tell you but I thought it would spoilt it, but yeah it's a really good episode and a great start to the second half. I'm giving it 9 thumbs up :) I'll look forward to reading what you think about it next week.

Why thank you Machie, I am always ready to share my thoughts once I have watched the episode. I have heard rumours this/next weeks episode was rather good as well.
