Seems appropriate... almost.

Anyway, I finished the book last night, and I have to say without doubt it's the best of the series, if only for the ending chapters.

I admit, and around the 100 page mark, I was considering stopping. However, as soon as I heard of the Ministry being over-run, I was drawn back in, and was hooked from there.

I kind of guessed that Harry would be one of the Horcruxes, however everything else that came from the ending was a surprize.

I loved the twist surrounding Severus, as I had been defending him in my mind in the sixth book, right up until he killed Dumbledore.

Anyway, Machie, have you finished the book yet? I'm in the mood to chat :)

I'd also like to hear someones view on how Harry didn't really die after the killing curse hit him. MY view is that because the Elder Wand wasn't really in alligence to Voldemort, and because he shared some of the protection Harry's mum left him, the killing curse only destroyed the spirit of Voldemort and not Harry himself.

Anyways, brilliant book, best in the series and a brilliant way to end it :)

even if Ron didn't die :P

I liked the fact that Neville got to play a bit part in finishing Voldemort off, too.

Not meaning to sound callous but I was hoping for a few more of Harry's nearest and dearest to at least get a bit mangled if not die. Just seemed a bit ... nice. I know Mad Eye, Lupin, Tonks and Fred bought it but with fifty other fatalities you'd thought at least a couple more well known ones would've carked it.

I was still defending Snape even after he killed Dumbledore, but mostly because I adore Alan Rickman!

I wonder if Harry retained the ability to speak parseltongue.
