Slow start, different approach. Think the baldy doing what's-her-sarky-face is from La Femme Nikita (unsurprising when you look at the production credits for both shows).

Enjoyable so far. :)

If Jacks father would have escaped with the component there would have been a war between Russia and USA, so I don't think they could have had him escape with the component.

If the rumours are true that the series will 'reinvent' itself, I don't mind that ending. It's almost like a clean start.

I thought it was pretty rubbish.

I'd have been happier if the twist had been that Jack's father had gotten away (with or without the component) with Jack's son with the potential for Jack's son to come back and faceoff against Jack in a future series.

That would've been good.

A pretty good finale, although I was expecting a cliffhanger ending, like The David Palmer assasination attempt and Bauer kidnapping we've had in other series. I was also hoping for an Tony Almeida shock return, bu oh well...

That was so stupid. As if they would just have an accessible grid to the sewer that was completely unguarded.

Yeah I've noticed that a bit too, some of the stuff seems a bit far fetched - like being able to get into a building such as CTU with so much ease....

Its got a bit better with the Chinese attack on CTU but I cant help but feel that they are just making 24 for the sake of making 24. Its kind of falling into the trap of the traditional movie sequel. It has too many big elaborate plot pieces that just don't seem that feasible. I'm still entertained by it, just not as much as with previous seasons.

Also, has anyone else noticed Jacks significantly decreased role this season. He's had less screen time for a start, but he is also less influential. In the past, the mere mention of his name was a green light to do whatever he pleased. This season he gets stopped doing everything.

That was fantastic! :)

Action packed, unpredictable, and lots of twists. I think this is turning into a very good series now :)

Daybreak was good. The network said the problem with it was that you couldn't really pick up the story part way through and it relied on you watching from the beginning hence the lack of interest for anyone who ever missed an episode. Its a shame there wont be a season 2.

Preferring Daybreak to this season of 24, shame it'll never get another series, definitely it's fault since it took about 6 episodes to get going but now it's interesting.

Curse audiences not liking something that gives them a brainwrong for a bit. :D

This season has really disappointed. It just feel like they are making the show for the sake of it now. Its slipping from my top shows list in much the same way Prison Break has done.

Bit rubbish at the moment.

Too soap-opera: rubbish characters getting-off with each other in CTU and a severely and poorly-acted reviving of the president reminding me of the cheesiest medical dramas.

Not good.

I'm not sure which part of the interigation was harder to watch - that part where he jams that giant needle in to Jack's back or when Jack takes a mouthful from that other guy's neck!!

I'm enjoying this, as always. I really like the fact that Sky are again showing two episodes tonight - but for how long will this go on for?

Did anyone else follow the ctuagent.com thing? I quite liked it, especially at the Chinese Embassy site. Definitley one of the best promotional 'things' I've seen.

I'm way behind and just starting on Series 4. All i've heard about 6 is who the president is and it made me laugh.

She was in Enemy of the State and also whined about personal freedom from the government in that, so I'm getting a bit of deja vu. I'm expecting to hate her character and storyline pretty quickly. And the whole, accidentally hearing about a terrorist plot while in the holding cell is just retarded. Like they would say the  phrase about how many bombs there are over and over again!

But the rest equal awesome

Thought I recognised that fellar. Strange considering I hardly ever, ever watched DS9.

Regina King doesn't fit for me, I remember her more juvenile(?) characters from films such as Friday and Poetic Justice.

Ah well, I'm sure the series will be outstanding as usual.

Loved both episodes.

So tempted to download the next ones since they were leaked but I'll refrain from doing so as my Sunday nights now have purpose and I no longer go into a depression about the coming work day :)

And Prison Break has started too! Yay.

It has Bashir from DS9 and the strange dude from Ally McBile who managed to make it slightly watchable (McBeal not 24).

I keep expecting his nose to whistle when he gets annoyed. :D

I thought it was really good as first episodes go. Some would say it was a bit slow but I thought it was about right for story explanation purposes and entertainment value.

Looking forward to next week.
