Hi All,
I know we've been here a couple of times in the past :¬)

In the last day my Freeola domains have started receiving more spam than normal (things had been pretty good for a while) all the emails are gobbledegook with a jpg attachment.

Just wondered if any other Freeola customers are seeing the same?

In the past when similar has happened it's only been Freeola customers that see this not the staff.

Previously I had been forwarding the spam to the abuse@freeola address but after a while it came to light that the email headers (from MS Outlook) couldn't be processed - am I right in thinking that's still the same so forwarding examples isn't worthwhile?

Thanks.
Hmmm...

I will try and nudge this through for you. Hmmm has been mentioning it for a while now.

If you are referring to the spam emails that are now coming through with poems or the lords prayers attached I am seeing them myself.

Hi guys!

Hopefully Freeola will be able to look at this in the New Year?

It seems all their customers see it, so it would be good if they could add it to their spam filters...

Merry Christmas!

what that was spam!? darn I wondered why them pills had never arrived! ;-(

I have noticed a sterady flow of these spammy things since the email server crashed, I hoped that the server might have retrained its self by now, but assumed it was just taking longer than usual.

FWIW
The same type of spam has started up again for my Freeola domains in the last few days - just wondered if others are seeing the same pattern?

Two more Hmmm since last post, a dutch ISP would seem to be the source.

Judging by posts yesterday, staffies have been out on the ........ probably not awake at the mo :-)

Hi Dragonlance,
Thanks for that. I have a large number of domains so was reasonably happy others would be seeing it as well.

It will be interesting if Freeola's staffies see it this time.

As you say - weeks without them.
When they stopped I'm guessing it must be the spammers 'sending' ISP that stopped them as quite a number of Freeola staff said they didn't see the problem last time round.

Hi Hmmm, can agree - have been receiving just the same. probably 4 or 5 within the last 12 hours - weeks without any and then yesterday they started arriving - I'm getting viagara ones, jpg attachment is the viagara price list etc etc etc.

I also used to forward the emails, just like yourself, but don't bother any more - as you said about headers.
