Original Post:
Since I moved to Freeola my internet connection has generally improved no end. It's far more stable and faster than with BT {spit}.

Unfortunately, it seems to have had a detrimental affect on the VPN connection I use for work.  The work's connections etc haven't changed and I've checked with others to ensure their own connection haven't got slower, but it just seems like it's mine.

Any ideas?  From the look of my main PC/PS3/360/Wii etc etc connections they're all as fast as I'm going to get until BT get their arse in gear with fibre, so it does seem strange.

You able to run a speedtest to check the upload you are getting pb? Doesn't have to be a BT one if you don't have access atm.

Nope, straight to router via Ethernet.

Thanks.

I think you're right in that I wouldn't expect the connection itself to cause a problem considering it's improved.

From what I can tell there should be no reason for the VPN connection to be effected detrimentally when your connection has generally improved.

The only thing I can think of is the conenction to ADSL2+ (which I think you did end up upgrading to) has caused issues with your upstream. It seems unlikely as ADSL2+ removes limitations on the upstream so you would expect it to improve......

I'll have a quick flick on your account, see if interleaving and stability options could be changed to improve the situation. I'll get back to you should I think these changes will help shortly.
