Ahoy there everyone, I'm back.
Have I missed much, ie quiz-wise? I've given up on working as a charity fundraiser and back home with regular internet access now...

Well if enough shops supported BT Clickandbuy I could get it, I've got enough credits through overpayment of my phone bills.

Morning Emmie.
I'm still getting over the kids party. What it does mean, though, is that I have lots of crisps and mini chocolate bars that I can delve into for work. Well, until the kids find them and eat them all!

Had a quick go on the video capturing side of things. Not much joy. I managed to get it working but the recording didn't come out well. It seemed to skip the majority of what I was recording. Probably some kind of framerate problem.
I also wasn't getting any sound on the recording too.

Mmm many years ago while i was ill i got into a cushion throwing fight. It wouldnt have been an issue but when you're going throuch chemo your fingernails grow intermittently so you end up with big gaps, anyway i through a cushion, it caught a jagged part of my nail and ripped the whole thing off. Not so much painful but very bloody and strange to just have this fleshy bit at the end of your fingers.

Hello children of Freeola!
Is anyone interested in a highly-embarrassing singing competition? It won't be a whole song, something like a verse and a chorus or something like that. If a few of you say yes to it I'll set it up and NO you're not getting the song that'll be the fun of it, but if you win maybe you can choose the next song etc (Like we did ages ago Nin)

I might test out that video capturing stuff tonight if I can be bothered. I might add some more tracks to the Game Music Quiz. I might do nothing. I'll see where we go as the night progresses.

i have a full hd 1080p plasma, skyHD box with a sony blu-ray player and a Sony High Definition cinema 5.1 amp all wired together with HD cables and optical cables, the picture quality is amazing, no comparison wot so ever to digital or analgue tv and the audio from a blu-ray dvd is simply awesome.
resevoir dogs a a great film tho, next time your mobile video man calls round in his estate car see if you can get hold of a copy of RAISE OF THE FOOT SOLDIER. wkd film on wot ever format!

HD ready tv's are mainly minimum spec resolutions ie 1080x720
FULL HD OR HDTV 1080p are over the minimum spec, ie full hd is 1920x1080. anyway plasma and lcd are old hat these's days, if you want a awesume picture look out for the new OLED TV's developed by sony) that should be in the shops soon, but if your buying a plasma or lcd (i recommend plasma) then hold on a bit cos when the OLED's hit the shelfs plasma will half in price. the main two specs to look out for is contrast ie 1000000:1 and colour satuation.
1080i is interlaced and 1080p is progressive, 1080p is superior. SkyHD is only broadcast in 1080i, you will need a blue-ray dvd player to view a 1080p or high picture on ya tv.
watch out for tv spec's the state high res' ie,1920x???? sometimes tht spec only refers to the pc connection only via vga.

No difference between, one is a requirement of the other:
The HD Ready logo appears on all TV screens and projectors that are compatible with HDTV signals. HD Ready screens must meet the following specification:
Minimum 720 vertical lines (the latter figure when a resolution is written out, e.g. 1280 x 720)
Analogue component video and either DVI or HDMI inputs
Support for HDCP content protection
Able to display 720p (1280 x 720 at 50Hz and 60Hz progressive)
Able to display 1080i (1920 x 1080 at 50Hz and 60Hz interlaced)
Crystal clear eh:)

Good morning everyone. Have you all just got back from church? I don't go to church, I'm an atheist or agnostic they're pretty much the same.
That's great then GP :) Do you have many PC games? I always considered you a console gamer.

A long time ago I've used it and it worked fine. Just been reading its forum though, and it would seem its quite patchy with older stuff. In which case you might be better trying this.

Hey, I am old enough to see The Strangers, but I watched it online the night before... It's VERY disappointing; it took forever to get interesting and then failed to keep my attention. However, I am pleased with Step Brothers, couldn't stop laughing =D

If this software works, it could be possible that I could record both systems, if it records anything running on my PC screen theoretically.
