Certainly makes sense, they'd want people to fear them in every language and they should certainly be familiar enough with Earth languages having taken the Earth over a few times now...

hmm. I'm guessing you mean Freema. Thing is, Torchwood will be a short 5 episode in a week series this year so it's not exactly hard to re-write even if she does quit, so not sure how true it all is.
Anyway, she's had the ITV role for a while now, so it's a bit weird for The Sun to suggest it's due to choosing that over a short 5 episode series. This is the same paper that said she was doing a 15 episode second series of Doctor Who or that Harriet Jones was the leader of the Daleks...
JB has also been in stories for a while about quitting Torchwood, which would be far more frightning.

Not surprised, it's a great show. The three of them together just make it so entertaining. Despite being more about cars we can afford, 5th Gear is a snoozefest in comparison.

Yeah something about the Spanish not paying their licence fee. Maybe you'll have better luck in Gibraltar or you'll have to download it the illegal way.
Apparently this week the most downloaded show in the world is actually Top Gear.

Morning all.
Hippy, sometimes it pays to just say what you think at work. I learnt a while ago to do just that and assuming you don't say anything that later proves to be completely wrong, it tends to work in your favour, getting you noticed and getting the right thing done.
Machie, you just reminded me to download Top Gear, i watched the other week's but not Sunday's one. Damn BBC iPlayer doesn't work in Spain.

Good morning everyone. Did you all see Top Gear last sunday when Clarkson was being chased around Tewkesbury during a hunt? That was the thing I told you about awhile ago when they stayed at the hotel my brother works at. Oh and yesterday on the Hotel Inspector on channel 5 was inspecting a hotel in Tewkesbury.
In other news they finally got rid of that concord model at Heathrow and replaced it with a 1/3 scale model of an Emirates airbus.

Hah, oh well, I expect it was well worth replacing all those things to have a decent PC (well, for 6 months anyway going by PC standards!).
Gamestation sale has got some great games each hour. Orange Box for £14.99 at the moment on 360 (until midnight, then the next one appears), I'm trying not to get tempted, i can't really afford more games.

It's aliiivve!
My PC that is, or at least it's running now :)
From what was supposed to be a graphics card update, I ended up replacing the motherboard, the cpu, the cooling, the RAM (twice), the keyboard, the case and very nearly the Hard drive :P
Still, it's nice to have a black and chrome blueish wonder working to top end standards :P and for £300 I'm well chuffed.

I love the randomness of this thread sometimes.
Despite being on holiday I'm limiting my alcohol intake to the occassional can of cold Spanish beer and the odd glass of wine every so often.
The fact that we're staying with family and have 2 small children really prevents anything more.
Anyway, so hot at the moment, there's a big bottle of water in the fridge to cool me down and some ice cream for later too. yey!

Depends entirely on what you 'sent' but if it made the day better, then that's ok.
Didn't know that Pandora had any worms? Maybe it's a new variety:D

I'm sure it will be okay. It wasn't anything incriminating or potentially damaging to your career was it? If not it'll be okay.
Come up the pub later, pub makes bad things go away. :D Until morning of course when the hangover starts. ;)

Someone might be able to help me with this. I've been wanting to learn how to drive for ages but was put off the continual costs, insurance, petrol etc but it's been mentioned to me that i could just rent a car when i wanted to get away. Aside from the obvious drivers license, what other legal stuff would i need, to be able to rent?

Afternoon all. Weather is still pretty nice, not too hot at 35c, but looks like Seville has the big heat as usual, it's currently 40c there.
I'm still convinced that Wii Music is going to be great. I keep watching the videos for it. Looks like it's going to be nothing like GH or Rock Band, which is good because it'll be something new. Apparently it's going to have settings for people who have no hope of even keeping in time, right up to a setting for people who really want to learn how to play and instrument.
Ok, so many will find it too colourful and fun to play, but I love all that Nintendo goodness, it's like everything's right with the world and a big rainbow is shining. We need that in today's world of pressure and disappointment, somewhere to escape to!
Anyway, I digress. I can't remember my dad's birthday. I know it's sometime around now (not long after mine) but I've only got it on the calender at home. D'oh! Need to find out without resorting to phoning him and asking myself...

Depends on my mood. If i'm fine i'll just curse myself and get on with things. If not i'll walk away.

I think until i was about 20 i didnt know how to deal with stress and i used to work myself up into a big ball of stress/upset just waiting for something to set me off. These days i tend to clean or get on with whatever project i'm working on. Hardly relaxing but i dont find it easy to calm down once i'm in a state.
> I guess it's pretty logical, but hard to know how long you need

A problem i've always had, and it's the one thing thats caused me more hassle than anything else, is not knowing my own mind. By that i mean being able to tell the difference between what are my normal feelings and when my brain is f**king with me. I'm gotten really upset with people in past, told them i wanted nothing more to do with them and then realised 4 hours later thats not how i feel at all. I learnt to recognise when i'm in that mood and control it but yesterdays anger was a new one and it caught me offguard. It was only last night when i was reading on here and thought "I actually had a good day, what the hell was that about"

If you're anything like me then, I'm finding it help to keep a sense of humour about things. I'm probably being an absolute ba s rd right now but I'm doing my best not to take anything too seriously, or at least - making an effort to realise when something -should- be taken seriously and when there's no need. And even if you -do- take it seriously, you can still laugh whilst you're doing it.
Basically I think, I'm gonna make mistakes anyway, no matter how absolutely hard I try to make sure I don't. They will happen. So I can either just laze around and not put any effort in, or put plenty of effort in and do my best to make as few as possible. Only problem there though, is stress! Because it'll just build and build, and there needs to be some balance to let it out. Time to relax. Problem I have is all the things I generally do to 'relax' aren't relaxing at all, it's taxing on my mind. I like to entertain myself, think a lot. Difficult to work out how to take a break from it.
I guess maybe the answer there is to focus on something physical, as in, movements. If you focus on controlling part of your body, you can direct your thoughts and focus, and do something that doesn't exactly strain your mind. Something like.. tai chi, yoga, or just meditation. Focusing on breathing etc.
I guess it's pretty logical, but hard to know how long you need to do it for before you can really feel refreshed. Patience and curiousity, I suppose!
