Afraid not, but my buddy Garin should know.

My harddrive is living on borrowed time, I have no copies and I have stuff that goes back 8 years that I need to keep.

I really need to hurry up and get something like this.

Thanks Vee. I'm trying hard not to get frustrated and give up but the new harddrive isn't helping. It's old and horrendously slow. There is something about it thats confusing me. It's supposedly a 20GB but only registers as 4GB.

I've installed an old harddrive so at least i've got use of the pc but i'll be devastated if i've lost everything. Around 800 photos, videos of my grandad before he died, every conversation i've had on here in 4 years, artwork, written work, music.
Does anyone know of a good programme for harddrive recovery?

Gutted about Weston pier.  Was planning to take a daytrip there soon but guess that will have to wait.  I wanted to go on the ghost train now that I am braver to actually walk past it.

Heard from customers at work that helped build the £2.5m go-kart track that the owner was holding back on his payments...seems a coincidence.  But shall miss my favourite daytrip destination :(

EDIT: Just heard on the news that the pier had record takings this weekend.  All over the local news...but still not sure what started it.

If I remember correctly, it was rather impressive.

And then there was Brighton's West Pier; closed for ages, and then a spectacular inferno. I remember being among the many people standing on the beach not long after watching pieces fall off and so forth...

Who could you mean?!

Rome sounds nice, actually, somewhere I'd like to visit.  One day, when the kids are old enough to get the most out of it...

2 more days here, though, then back to the UK.

I hear timber smoked meat is rather good this time of year :)

On a side-note I was in Rome this weekend which was infinately hotter and more humid than anything in the UK.

Those of you in Spain can hush up right now

Hi, relatives decended on us yesterday, so no internet and spent the afternoon at the beach.

Machie - I've got a friend in Weston, he works in the CCTV room covering the whole of WSM, sees some strange things...

Anyway, nice to hear that the UK has been having some hot weather too, I expect it will rain when I'm back there in a few days.  With no aircon or anything in this house, I'm sweating buckets and drinking loads of water from the fridge, so it would be nice to get some sleep at night and not wake up in a puddle of sweat!

It's also been fun getting the girls used to having a Siesta in the afternoon so they can cope with the later nights (since most of the shops don't open till 5pm after lunch, everything tends to be done a bit later.

Saturday was good though, went to a bar in the centre of town with friends to see a singer and the girls enjoyed dancing to the music.  However, this being Spain, it didn't start till around 11pm, so another late one.

Things are going okay on the 2nd Game Music Quiz. It may be ready in mid August. It depends how things go.

Absolutely crap movie.

When I went to see it I switched my phone on and started texting people to distract myself, and in fact one of my mates fell asleep; the scene in the cellar is one part I especially disliked, as it was simply monotonous.

Oh, and very convenient that Tom Cruise is the only person whose car has the right repairs done just in time, eh? :)

Agreed. I didn't like Cruises character and I didn't like the kids. The girl was annoying and the boy ran off to join the army.

If such a thing really happened, I'd just head down to The Winchester and wait for the whole thing to blow over.

We cant even get along with ourselves so the idea of hostile aliens isn't so far-fetched.

Sounds like a pretty good day McLong, we went to the pub today, it was just so hot and sunny earlier, you couldnt be outside for more than a few minutes without burning and dehydrating.

I have a question. Tom Cruise's War of the Worlds, yay or nay?

Vexxxed, a friend and myself spent a good few hours yesterday trying to find ways to cool ourselves down. After 40 odd minutes in front of the air con unit/fans in B&Q and throwing ice cold water over the young (and perspiring) Vexxxed, we opted for going to an air conditioned cinema to watch TDK instead (followed by a swift cold pint).

Now at work where we have many fans and air con units. Never thought I'd say it but I'm actually enjoying working on a Sunday!

Am I the only one not enjoying this sunny weather? It's far too hot for me to do any work, even with a fan on me. :(

Grandprix hows your second video game quiz? I was thinking about doing a movie soundtrack quiz last night, but couldnt figure out where I could host the mp3 for free.

Haha, now toconvince the manager it is important I can serve customers whilst wearing a hat :)

Thinking of cutting a bit more off, covering a cornflake in red and brown food colouring and then sticking it into the gap and claiming I had an accident.  May provide a decent ice breaker as well for talking to customers :p

Hope so Dragonlance..would mean a pay rise and a much more focused role, than the one where I have to serve practically every customer and refer them to get things sold to them.

Is it a thing for sticky stuff then today?  Came back from my night at my local and must have started chewing gum (???) before I went to bed.  Woke up with my head stuck to a pillow and then found a lump of gum matted in my hair.  Slightly drunken and tired self-haircuts are never the best.  I now have a bald patch on the side of my head :o
