I'm not sure what i did really, my PSP asked me for a WPA key i think (no, it wasent a WEP key).

I messed about with my internet for a while, untill i somehow managed to make up my own WEP key, and, voila it worked.

Well done, I tried making my own WEP key up but failed miserably, even tried using the same one from work but that didn't work either, gave up and left my connection open.

Works a treat and no one in our neighbourhood has wireless and I know I haven't been hacked so I'm pretty pleased :)

I've not stopped working for ages. Sure, I've had the odd weekend off, but I worked throughout Christmas.

Einstein@Home only runs through BOINC. So initial impression Mark?

Setup up the Xbox to play Tenchu with Joe and found the drive to be stuck thanks to crappy baggage handlers. Unplugged the console and fixed the drive with a very technical tool: a knife.

Seems the top lip of the xbox had gotten pushed down over the top of the drive.

Really didn't fancy getting all those saved games off the HD.

Morning,

I had very little to do yesterday when I got here because I'd finished lots of little jobs prior to the xmas break.  All my desks were tidy and clear - however, now it looks like there has been a mini explosion in a paper factory.  So much for the paperless age :)

Morning Sleepy

Well I came back last week to find loads of crap all over my desk, looked like a computer had exploded along with a ream of paper :)

All tidied up now, just need to get a couple of things off my desk and it'll be back to normal.

Afternoon.

I couldn't sleep last night, so used to staying up late and waking up late.

Well, when I eventually fell asleep I only got about 5 - 6 hours of sleep. :(

I was lierally lying in my bed with my eyes shut for 2 hours. When I checked the time it was 1am so I started to give up and I was gonna just not go to school the next day, then I went and got a thin cover because I was a bit hot and thats when I eventually fell asleep. -_-

I wasn't actually that tired today seeing as I was used to 10+hours sleep and only have 5/6 hours. So at least tonight I know I can stay up until 1am (not that I will) and still be okay to go school the next day.

Not so good at the moment :( Boinc has crashed a few times, I think it might be because my computer has been running a lot slower thanks to all these ad/spyware scanners running. I'll sort it out. I think I'm still trying to understand it. I think LHC arent giving any jobs. I've only done 2 jobs but I'm sure I did some before. I have 12.37 credits in predictor, everything else is 0. What does it mean by "ready to report" "preempted" and "ready to run". Just need to verify though I do have a little idea what they mean. The climate one says it'll be done in 2000 hours :S I think I need to do something about that. I still cant get SETI to work, though I have the latest Boinc version, so I'm not sure what's wrong there. I'll probably go through and drop some projects soon so that should help speed things up, though I guess SETI has more than enough help so I might not do them.

Morning,

That's so true :)

I could kill for a bacon buttie this morning.  Think I'll start dropping hints to the boss until he 'makes the decision' that I should go get some.

I've just had a nice 12 hour sleep :-D

Another boring day, head off to the other campus to use the printer there to print off some things for lesson tomorrow and then head back to the other campus to teach a couple of classes and then back home to watch another De Niro or Pacino film. Ah well just 20 days before i'm heading back to England and get back to my PS2 and PC
