Morning folks and folkessess.

Pennywell Farm was good, lots of animals and my eldest got to feed a lamb and stroke a hedgehog!

Back to work though today, although I've got friday off so it's a shorter week than usual.

Good luck with the job application and 'good for you' in deciding to go to the wedding - just don't mention the Apple Diet!:D

Wow you sure about that? Well the dollar is weak so I suppose it's a good time to go but still your last trip didn't go according to plan I just worry it might happen again. Then again I haven't been to Florida for 17 years and I'm dying to go back to Disney World :D

I still have my autograph book, I'm gonna track down Mickey and finally get him to sign it!!!

Morning all.  Looks like we're taking the kids to Pennywell Farm today to see all the animals.

Should be fun.

I've just applied as an office junior in a small business that has huge clients.  Ok, not the greatest paid job in the world and I am bottom rung, but I'm sure by the time my mates qualify from University I'll already have climbed at least one rung, where as many will struggle just to hop onto the bottom one.

Machie - decided I'm going back to Florida next year for my penpal's wedding ceremony :)

Hey, cheap trip and an excuse to go to Disney :D

Send them our way, apparently we have tons of jobs vacancies and not enough Polish to fill them all.

It can be tough, but things have an odd way of working out. My friends have gone through college and are struggling financially, most cant get a job in the field they qualified for, whereas I dropped out, walked straight into a job starting at the bottom and worked up, and havent a financial care in the world in a job most wouldnt look twice at.

Can't really complain about that, well you can and I do, but then I can pay the bills but not all the other stuff, like toys for the kids, clothes and other stuff.

Hmm, interview was a mixed bag.

Some real tough 'competancy-based' questions in there. Got the feeling I have some skills and experience which they really need, but I'm light in expereince in other areas which they need a little bit less.

Have to wait and see I suppose.

On the positive side, if I don't get it then at least I have a job which I'm enjoying at the moment which brings in enough money to pay the bills.

I'll happily take the raspberry one off your hands, it sounds rather nice, unlike the raspberry lager I once bought in France, which was just odd.

At least you've got games to think about, I'm currently putting off working out what units to take next year, what with all the confusing timetabling methods that UEA have decided to use...

Sounds highly dangerous!

Mead is dangerous stuff, as is fruit wine.  I've got 3 bottles of the stuff still to open (a rasberry, elderflower and some other flavour) but I won't be doing that until i know I'm not doing anything the day after.

I can't go 5 minutes in work without thinking about picking up Mario Kart now.  Damn games.

Same here, I don't mind the odd one myself!

Had a bit of an odd time last night. My camera decided to pack in, and I'm also feeling rather the worse for wear; I'm going to blame mead wine and the "Pie Party". This consisted of Strobe lighting being set up in the kichen, and steak pies.

Actually, I found that out the other day from here too, quite happy to be able to play iPlayer on my TV downstairs through Wii now.

I've stayed here because I like the format (that others seem to hate, for some reason) and the people and chatting about stuff like Doctor Who, games and the occassional intellegent topic or too!  Plus I must admit to being partial to a GAD or two...  :D

4 years.
Information really. I can look at my music collection and link most of it back to people in here. Anything i want to find out i can ask on here and get an answer most of the time.

The real question is, whats kept you here for the last 6-8 years? For me it's the friends I've made and a great source of knowledge. We seem to have experts in so many different fields that I can get all sorts of help and information.

Like umm, can I watch BBC iPlayer on the Wii, and within an hour or two I get an answer. :D

I'd bloody hope so. Being a member of the same forum for 14 year wouldnt be something to be proud of.

I've not watched it in some time, as I haven't got a TV at uni, and my parents subscribe to the wrong channels at home. Last time I saw a new one was about a year ago!

Plus, that video wouldn't load for some reason...

I've got AllSP in my favourites though, so if I ever need a shot of the Park I can indulge. Great site, I think it's got every episode available to stream.

Let's hope this is a regular occurrence!

Talking of familiar names, Motorhead and Dragonforce have both announced gigs at my University in the autumn, on sale Friday. Handily enough, before my next loan installment comes through!

They wanted people to be here and cope with the vast numbers of spam that used to appear at all hours, so it made sense to make the forum members mods.

Sounds a good idea to me.
