I have decided to set up a thread for GAD queries - anything GAD related, whether it be what is the best way to win one, lost claim, bragging about how many you have won (come on pb and Emmie...you are too modest on here :p), or just to praise winners and thank the staff for their awards.
It may save the staff the hassle of having to trawl through the other threads looking for queries (although we now have the option to e-mail them) and possibly the talk of winners talking about GAD wins may encourage others to attempt for them.
Hopefully this thread will take off....and congratulations to all the winners so far!

I wouldn't feel bad if I were you - if a cheater won over a submission you made you'd feel rather angry I expect.

Yep, well spotted and don't feel bad. If you didn't say anything they'd probably just end up submitting even more copied reviews while the rest of us work hard to provide our own.

Thanks Freeola! Always a great feeling when you get rewarded for writing a review or doing some work finding cheats!
Also makes my Friday even better, as i am going home in 30 mins and i now have a GAD to claim!!
Sadly, no HAWX today but at least i have tomorrow free.

As this thread seems to be getting lots of posts now and sorting out a lot of GAD queries (I think everybody has forgotten it was me whining without appearing to whine :p) do you think it ought to be stickied? It keeps appearing near the top anyway ;)

We watch very closely to the number of cheats that are posted. Raimundo, we saw that you did put a few cheats on, but in order to win a Game-A-Day prize you need a lot of cheats to stand out from the crowd.
I'd suggest that if you really want to win, have a look at the Reviews section of the Gaming Section, as generally we give Game-A-Days to reviews because a lot of work goes into them.
This is not to say we won't give you one for cheats! Just we need a lot of cheats that we haven't already got!

I still call it Game-A-Day for my sins...
Old habits die hard.
Gaming and Design Awards doesn't roll off the tongue too well.
Raimundo - find a game you really love and write a walkthrough for it (or a detailed review). If you love it, you'll put your heart into it.
You don't even need to play through the game again - for my Hitman walkthrough (GAD winner aggggeees ago), I completed the game, found a basic walkthrough and used it to jog my memory on how I played the game. Took about 12 hours to write my version, so take your time and put effort in. Freeola likes to see the effort!
*my e-mail address was in that walkthrough, and so the staffies know - people have written to me either thanking me on helping them or suggesting ways that they completed it...thanks for letting me post it here! And thanks for the GAD those many moons ago for it*

Woa man! Not sure if your having a laugh or not... But if you want a GAD ( yes! ), then you know what to do! Start submitting Reviews, Tutorials, Cheats or just help out whenever you can... All of these will build up to a GAD prize!
