Right, i know some of you guys are not keen football fans so probably not a great thread for you - sorry.
However, for the few of us that enjoy football, i thought this could proove to be fun!
I love doing football Accumulators and very often, well actually never, have i won a bet of one. So to try help me spending all my hard earned cash i thought we could play a game. These are the rules (and even people who know nothing about football can play!)
Each week i will post the fixtures for the premier league on here.
From them you choose 4 games and say how it will go.
Getting 3 out of the 4 correct grants you a point.
Getting all 4 will get you 3 points.
Simple, right! I will of course keep a list on here and update the scored of the people playing.
So let me know if your interested in playing along. Fun game to keep me occupied and may actually help me finally win a bet!

Sunderland are due a win probably but won't get it. Think it's a classic draw. 1-1

Burnley looked decent against their rivals, and Elliot should really have a match band for his kick on that poor fella. 2-1

Should be easy. Unless Blackburn try and rough us up as usual. 2-0
> Hull vs Portsmouth
Pompey? Ha! 5-0 (On a serious note they a both terrible atm, 1-1)

Stoke are actually rather random. But Tottenham being impressive. Hmmm.... 2-2

Well if you bet on that (not the correct scores as it would takes ages to figure out)
But the win / draw aspect, you would have odds of;
3,348.59/1
So if your confident and wana put a bet on, you could get a nice christmas bonus!!

Just to update this.... What I meant was
Goons- To draw after leading....
Spurs to fail at everything generally
Man City to draw after a smashing 12 minutes of football and nothing else
Villa- Tasty draw
Man U- To fail to turn up. At all.

Good suggestion Warhunt. I know accumulators are just that, but we're hardly stacking vast amounts of cash on the outcome:-)

We could do it so you get a point for every result you guess correctly, and a minus point for every game you get wrong.
So it would work out:
1 games guessed correctly(+1) +4 games guessed wrongly(-4)=
-3
2 games guessed correctly(+2) +3 games guessed wrongly(-3)=
-1
3 games guessed correctly(+3) +2 games guessed wrongly(-2)=
+1
4 games guessed correctly(+4) +1 games guessed wrongly(-1)=
+3
Looking over it, looks to complicated to be kept up, but i think i've just presented the system extremely badly. In short:
Guess 5 results. +1 for correct, -1 for wrong

But it keeps things competitive throughout, it's just boring if one person constantly gets them right and is just leading everyone by miles. Gives people a better chance to catch up. All i know is the current format isn't working, as everybody is on 0 lol.

It's because most of us seem rubbish at predicting results. Althoughto be honest I thought I was pretty goodnormally :S
