1.8 Metre HDMI cable £1.82 delivered : Here

I have one of the £50 odd ones (I didn't pay that) with zero oxygen, metal braided, solid gold plated things, have my Blu Ray player hooked up to with it.Also have a couple of £3 ones I bought off Ebuyer I use one to connect my Freeview PVR.A while back I decided to do a little experiment and switched the cables around.I can confirm it made no difference whatsoever,Blu Ray picture and sound was identical using either cable. The expensive one I have does look very pretty, shame its hidden around the back of my plasma !.For under £2 (especially when reading the feedback) you can't really go wrong.

LG 22'' LCD HD Ready Widescreen TV £189 : Here

Might not sound like a mega bargain but these great little panels are far better quality than you would expect from a sub £200 LCD TV.Build and AV quality is impressive (sound is very good for a unit of its kind).Just installed one for my great aunt last night as she has been forced to update due to the end of analogue transmissions. It's very easy to use as well.Would definitely recommend one of these for the bedroom, spare room etc. as they are excellent for the money.

If you're after a decent sized good quality TV and have an old one lying about (or still being used) then Currys are currently doing a good trade in for the Sony S5500.  £599 normally, but get £100 off of that price if you trade in your old TV.  Doesn't even have to be working, they stick them outside the back door for someone to collect for scrap.

Its very easy to offer anecdotal evidence about these things.  eg We've got 2 Acers here at the moment which I'd swear were engineered to last 1 year and 1 day.  The moment the warranty expired they started developing faults.

I think its fair to say though that Toshiba's reputation isnt what it was. Theres been several high profile problems such as faulty memory modules across virtually their entire range and several class action lawsuits about design faults.  So personally I wouldnt have enough confidence in the brand to buy one.

Regarding Toshiba laptops my Aunt bought one about 4 years ago and she's never off the thing. Its been great, had no problems with it at all ?.

Another option if required is this Acer model at Comet. There is 3.5% quidco cashback available as well.Remember all laptops have a 12 month manufacturers warranty with them anyway, any problems would surely have reared there ugly heads within this time ?.

This is of topic, but it sort of relates. Look at Xbox's, the amount of people who say they've had problems with it, and i've never had any trouble whatsoever with it. A product only has a problem if it breaks down on you, and you're usually covered by a warranty anyway ;)

For what it's worth, I've had a Toshiba laptop in the past which I had nothing but problems with. I've also got a Dell pc at the moment, which I've upgraded a few bits and bobs on, but it's still going strong after 3 years maybe?

I've set up about 3 Dell pcs for my Dad as well in the past 5 years and they're still doing well.

As mentioned below, you can spec your Dell laptop to your liking before buying. The only problem is it will take about 1 week to get shipped to you.

Only other option I can find is this deal Dell have on the Inspirion 15 (its only on for this week).£349 delivered but don't forget there is 5% Quidco cashback (less vat) which would net this down to just over £330 delivered. The good thing about the Dell option is you can alter the components on the system if you want. The deals I have posted are about the best options I can find at the moment. If anyone else can find anything better (as I'm a bit rubbish with PC deals TBH) I'm sure it would be appreciated.Hope they help though mate.

Underworld Trilogy Blu Ray Boxset £14.93 : Here

Only ever seen the first one, anyone know if the sequels are worth watching ?.

EDIT : Just checked CEX,they give £17 cash for these, watch them and sell them.Three films of Kate Beckinsale in tight leather in glorious HD and then £2 profit, result ! :)

CEX also give £22 cash for the Matrix Boxsets listed below.Fiver profit on those as well.If you just want to watch them its a better option than renting.
