Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift

7/10

Its rubbish really. The story is pathetic and the set pieces are unbelievable (the Japanese Yakuza settling a problem with some punk kid by having a car race? I dont think so), but the only reason you would go to see this film is for the cars anyway and the races all look great. It was as fun to watch as the other two, possibly even better than #2 and there is a nice surprise at the end for fans of the series.

If you are wanting some great acting, a heart wrentching story and some brilliantly detailed drama, then this isnt for you. If you want Japanese girls in short skirts driving customised sports cars then I think you'll love it.

Children of Men 9/10 - One of the best movies I've seen all year.

Click 8/10 - A surprizingly funny film, a bit cheesy at the end though.

Animal (Ving Rhames, not Rob Schneider) - A bit crap really. Kind of in the mould of American History X but replacing the racism with Gangbanging. Too slow to get into for the most part.

Got Click and Hoodwinked on download so will check them out next.

My dad has lent me the download of Click.  Excellent film - just I wonder when the universal remote will hit the shelves...

9/10 - I can't say too much otherwise I'll ruin the plot for you!

Click - Not too bad actually, quite chuffed to have downloaded a perfect DVD rip too, considering it's just come out over here.
Quite funny in places, no Rob Schneider though :O

Next up: Hoodwinked to burn and Jet Li's Fearless on download

Alexander.

Could of been one of the biggest movies ever, an inside look into one of the greatest minds that ever lived in my opinion and they make 2 and a half hours that i will never get back, spent half the time shaking my head.

Whoever cast Farrell as Alexander was clearly drunk or blind. Possibly one of the worst choices ever. He fails to capture any of Alexanders attributes and seems nothing like his character.
He was so unbeleivable as Alexander.

Jolie as the mother delivered a poor performance, worst ive seen her. She never ages through the whole film.

What was he thinking when he made this, seriously. Alexander conquered half the world and what we got too see was 2 battles. That didn't bother me that much but the fact that he felt the need to keep pointing out his sexuality every scene was a very poor way to go.

Could of been a blockbuster, with the right cast and the right director and a bit of research and some good directing. No Gladiator, could have been bigger though, such a poor way to portray a statue in history's life.

World Trade Center - pretty good actually - you'd think it'd milk the whole planes-into-towers--America-vow-revenge thing, but it's actually a focus on the lives of two Police Officers trapped under the rubble. I enjoyed it muchly.

The Da Vinci Code

Dear God this sucked. Terribly hard to get into as I haven't read the books. I know it's good when films stick to their book counterparts but come on "Quick lets get to the nearest library". I'd prefer a "Let me just grab my machine gun" anyday. Oh my God did I mention how long it was?

3/10 Poor.

Saw Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift last night - not bad, similar to the others in a brain-at-the-door eye candy fest. Nice to see the surprise too - didn't see that coming, but can't help thinking it was implement to avoid the film being tagged as a desperate rip of the franchise. A bit of added credibility if you will. Loved the RX-7 though <3

Hard Candy - A bit of a disappointment to be honest. Concept was good, but it could have been so much better. A particular scene did make me cringe and feel a bit sick though - it's a gore-free film by the way but you guys will know the bit ;P

6.5/10

Snakes on a Plane next.

Very funny in many parts, predictably cringeworthy in others ... pretty good, though not great.  Some of what these outback hillbilly types say scares the bejesus out of me ...

Waiting - A bit crap as it didn't go anywhere, but it was funny in places.

The Benchwarmers - Also crappy but funny in places. John Heder was relying far too much on his Napoleon Dynamite character though, and clearly overacted in places.

Accepted - Not bad, not too great though.

Hoodwinked - Would have been awful had the Squirrel not been in it.

Miami Vice - Boring, dragged out, big disappointment.

I generally hate Bond films but that was bloody good.

EDIT
Who would have thought that guy out of Franz Ferdinand could play cards either?

Talladega Nights - This got a lot of publicity in America (probably due to the Nascar aspect), but I thought it could have been better. Surprised to see Mr Cohen make an appearance. 7/10

EDIT - also:

Open Season - Pretty good, most enjoyable animated movie I've seen in a while. Poor rabbits :) 8.5/10
