Yeah. I enjoy RTS', always have. Warcraft was one of my first actually if I remember.

Warcraft 3 still makes me go like a child in a candy store after all this time too.

Running round hacking stuff apart (by doing damage by numbers until the npc activates his 'death sequence') is pretty addictive in WoW.

I wouldn't mind seeing a MMO version of Warcraft though. Just not possible logisitcally though. Look at AoE: Online. Bah.

I did know WH but to me it's WoW3 and why not ;-) But I'm sure if I take the plunge then you'll be my mentor.

Thanks again WH for that ... I might just opt for Warcraft3 :¬) ... and Garin is only being helpful :¬)

As quoted from the answers, given out before marking.

"Remember, some answers will naturally have a little wiggle room in the answer. The majority of these can be "well the most obvious is right", and the majority of people got the most obvious, so that's what we went with. "

@DL: Yes. Pretty much. You just got 2 prizes, rules are standard for each.

Btw, Elmo Lincoln's claim to fame is that he played the first adult Tarzan.   Gordon Griffith beat him to being the first screen actor by playing him as a child in the same movie.  You're lucky I didnt enter, I'd have complained bitterly about that. :D

Maybe I'll give it a go WH, getting bored with BF3 etc :¬)

Anyway, I thought Emma Peel/Diana Rigg was "The New Avenger" :¬P

EDIT: @WH ... so the Freeola Quiz win would equate to the following:

a. Two games, each upto £45
b. or two Amazon vouchers, £30 each
c. or 'Mix-&-Match' ie one game and one voucher

He is part of "The New Avengers" to be fair. Although the whole world knows he is Peter Parker now...

(and "The New Avengers" are not even related to "The Mighty Avengers" anyway)

Just been reading an article on the forthcoming Avengers film and reckon my proposed line up was better TBH. Spider-Man would have kicked ass in that film!

That's actually the characters face in the top left of the WoW example :D

Or rather a little screen shot of the characters head. In this case he is wearing a purple hood, which fills most of the portrait frame :)

Having compared game 6 interface with your examples, another thing which may have swayed me was the symbol - top centre, like a blue world and the standard WoW example has a similar purple world, top left.

GUI was Warcraft 3, not WoW by the way.

This is the standard WoW UI Standard
The 'bars' at the bottom left aren't standard mind.

And here's my modified UI Me

The DoTA answer was tempting to give, but it's not technically correct. It is a mod for Warcraft 3, and the screenie was from of Jainas' missions in the original.

I was suprised you said DoTA as opposed to Warcraft 3 though, as DoTA isn't the actual game.

Point taken WH ... but no probs :¬)

I've read endless articles/reviews and interviews over the last few weeks regarding the RPG genre, Skyrim, WoW etc etc and all have included screenshots and numerous references to DoTA ... so knowing your love of WoW and suspecting that at least one of those 'gaming screenshots' was likely to be WoW and I was pretty certain the 'other' was Diablo2....I went with recent 'repetition' ie DoTA, but I did recognise the GUI as WoW though! :¬)

My initial thought was of DoA, as she looks very similar to the characters.  Remembered her from one of my OPM magazines as I think she featured in a poster.  How I remembered the name, God only knows (must be that I never forget a girl's name...)

Well done to all, and thank you for participating.

The DoTA answer was tempting to give, but it's not technically correct. It is a mod for Warcraft 3, and the screenie was from of Jainas' missions in the original.

I was suprised you said DoTA as opposed to Warcraft 3 though, as DoTA isn't the actual game.

And the gaming one was meant to be hard. I loved the game series, but even for those people who did recognise her it would be much more common to mistake that recognition with a Resi character, or even DoA or SF.

Well you still got 1 more gaming pic than I did DL, I didn't get any at all. Some 'big gun' eh? :(

Only got the Vinci one right because my mum and sister visited there last year, that was my 'Slumdog Millionaire' moment! :)

Meant to say thanks to Warhunt and the guys for arranging this earlier but forgot, so I'll say it now.

Thanks pete, but congratulations to you too ... an excellent position.

Gaming 6: I thought it was Defence of The Ancients
Gaming 7: Not a clue and I don't even know the game now I've seen the answer :¬)

I knew I should have placed that bet! :(

Seeing as you cracked the anagram as well, which couple did you not actually get DL?

That is one hell of a score mate, a totally deserved and I would imagine one very popular winner.

Mega congratulations! :)

Seriously though, I am more than happy to share the bottom step of the metaphorical podium with Jason, honestly didn't think I would do that well.

Olly Murs question made my laugh though as he has a twin brother. I thought it might have been him which would have made it quite possibly the best trick question ever!

Total surprise!

But many thanks to all of you, especially to Warhunt and Freeola for the quiz. What a competitive quiz it was, judging by the closeness of the scores! (Great score SC) Well done to everyone.

I'm just glad that I finally cracked the 'anagram' before the answers were revealed :¬)

You are a great group of people :¬)

I know know who William Taft is now and I'm ashamed for not getting SNES.

I thought Alfonse was going to win because I'm easily mislead by confidence :P

Living in a house with 4 girls obsessed with such dire TV show choice...I had no choice but to learn the answer to this whilst making the mad dash to the kitchen to get food.  Needless to say, I didn't pick much else up from the X-Factor...

Some tidbits for you.

Hardest question (most incorrect/unanswered):
Music Q6... The mighty anagram. With only 2 people getting it this was by far the hardest.
Gaming Q7 was a close 2nd though with only 3 getting it right.

Easiest question (most correct):
...The rest of them
But seriously, Web Savvy Q1&2 were both 100% complete rates, along with a few others.

Easiest round:
Suprisingly this was the Web Savvy or Olympics round.

Suprisingly well known answer:
Music Q5. Shame on you all... Except pb. Who got it wrong on purpose.

Funniest entry:
HighFlyer. Kudos.

Leading me on to...
Lowest score:
HighFlyer. Kudos.

(I may be joking with that one admittedly. But funny none the less)
