That may have subconsciously influenced me. I was thinking more along the lines of Dr Evil or Bond villainy.

It's those 'in-betweeners' that are the most dangerous

I've tried growing one a few times but after two weeks it just annoys the hell out of me. Plus the hair is always too thin above my jawline so it looks stupid. I prefer my current "skinhead with stubble" look anyway, shame it only lasts 4 or 5 days.

No kidding.  Kinda like an Albus Dumbledore thing going on.

He looks freaky.  But then I don't think that is just down to the bumfluff beard!

That is messed up. I didn't even know the bumfluff could come together to make a beard.

There is a school kid on the bus, creepy looking kid, than has never shaved - his bumfluff looks ridiculous (he has a full beard and moustache!).

I agree, shave a few times and then let it come back as a full thick beard!

The itch from about 4 days not shaving to 2 weeks is a killer. After that I gave up and had the most satisfying shave ever.

My brother's attempting it at the moment - I think the key is to shave regularly until it starts coming in thick, rather than the typical fluff you get initially. Then let it grow out.

Best of luck :)

haha... one line that my stepbrother crossed a while back!  He also wore a pink beaded bracelet (garish looking thing - not trendy).  He looked and still looks like a complete dope!

Marink, I'll trade - often have to shave twice a day!

Had a goatee for a while,  bloody itchy!

I'd grow it and see Alfornse.  You might come up with a brand new trend-setting style of your own!

I've had to shave since about 15 .. :(

Takes about 3 days to get 'too long' - can't image what a month would be like!

Keep shaving.  Eventually the thinly bumfluff will be replaced by thick horrible coarse stuff.  I was about 20 before the gaps started to fill in (although I have bare patch on my left cheek...).

Although to be honest., I'd love to go back to a time where I didn't need to spend money and time trimming the stuff just to look presentable!

As far as I know, there are some people who never can grow the whole Zack Dingle experience. Others, its just a matter of waiting.

I don't think there are any specific limits - just got to let nature do its thing. Or increase the level of testosterone in your body...
