Today was the Bristol rovers "fun day" where the stadium is opened to the public and they can meet the players and take tours of the stadium, fairground and stalls etc.

I have links to the young supporters club "Young Pirates" and often help out with the away travel and the running of the shop on matchdays.  Today I had to sit in the bar area and promote Young Pirate membership.  The table I was sat on was adjacent to the team table, so basically spent all day chatting away with the team.  Not bad... but it gets better!

I was earing a sports jacket not too different to them and kind of blended in with them - so I got lots of autograph request and people wanted their photograph with me...well until I told them I wasn't a player.  Eventually, temptation got the better of me and I was walking around with the team I adore, laughing and joking with them and people thinking I was the new signing.

If only I was... Well, back to the norm tomorrow.  A day at work on the frontline without support and training.

Definitely joined in with the team spirit.  If they'd have offered a kick-a-bout, maybe something ould of come from it - I'm pretty sur that Training is important in football teams.

I'm shocked that a building society (the biggest at that) offers nothing of the sort!
