Long before Freeola there was this site called Geocities where you could create a website for FREE!! I had a geocites website. I think it was something like geocities.com/tokyo/something/88123. It looked great, it had the dancing 7up dot and everything.

The webcomic XKCD has a tribute to geocities right now. It's like stepping back 13 years. This is what you had instead of a myspace, facebook, blogspot account. Although it is missing the midi song playing in the background. My favourite was popcorn.

Yeah i have a geocities webpage set up now which had all my old art work stored there. I use imageshack.us to store pics, but you're more then welcome to have a quick look at some old artwork. The oldest stuff at the bottom, new stuff at the top.

I have no fond memories of the internet during the 90s.

I remember we used to call it Geosh**ies, but we had no alternative. And using Yahoo and Askjeeves as search portals, lovely.

Spoonbeast: did those pictures come before or after Halo and Killzone?

I would say during. I started that website back in 2004/2005 as a dumping ground for my earlier artwork. Until i started using imageshack thats where all my art work went. I've improved a hell of a lot from the earlier days but still more room for improvement.

I'll post a link to my other artwork when i've got time.

Hahah. I remember Geocities, although back in the days where I used to run NeoPets clans I used FreeWebs. I guess using FW explains how I have no idea how to code websites now, as it didn't have that level of freedom that GC gave to users.
