What General forum doesn't have a General Knowledge quiz, well, now this one does.
In this thread General Knowledge questions will be asked and you, the ppl, must give answers. After this first question, the winner will be stated here and then will have to give a question; and so on and so forth. Please don't use the internet, cause where's the fun in that.
The author of the question has to tell people who guess whetehr they are correct or wrong.
Rules
1)If no-one gets the answer within 24 hours of it being posted then the person who set it must ask a new one.
2)If no new question is set within 5 hours someone else will have to set a new question.
3)If you find out the answer on the internet(i.e.Google,Wikipedia) then you can't enter.
4)If you answer a question, you will get a point, providing that you also set a question.
5)No points will be added to the setter's total if no-one answers their question (Because than you could just set a really hard question that no-one would get)

I kind of guessed Romans was wrong when you said it wasn't correct and I put the Roman prominence around the turn of BC to AD. :)

Nope, not them either. Wasn't the clue helpful?

It sort of was. While the geisha were entertainers/waitresses etc, they were also sold off to the highest bidder for sex, only once though.
I still maintain the ancient Greeks are the answer to this.

Your comment about Japan I agree with, but I think that the 'geisha' system was not originally as we perceive it today.
Netherlands is a good guess, close but incorrect:)

Great because it's quiz day tomorrow and I'm gonna win it.
Okay next question, I suppose I should make it another geography question.
Alright, name 2 landlocked countries. These are countries that are surrounded by other countries. Apparently one of them has a navy :/

I -might- have been actually but I can't remember the order of my thoughts at the moment. I might have stumbled upon that from a link by searching about Harrison ad-lib-in stuff. But nah you're probably right.

Aha, but you're right! I am simply a git.
Basically, the story is in Empire Strikes Back, Mr Harrison Ford was getting incredibly annoyed at 'visionary' George Lucas seeming to think the lines "I love you" "I love you too" are incredibly romantic.
As Ford is closer to the real world than Lucas, he decided to say "I know" in his answer to "I love you" as a kinda "Don't worry" final say, which was far far better anyway
Why dysentery? It was only the first clue but I'm glad you knew it anyway, but basically it's to do with Harrison Ford.
There's only one other major time that I can recall when Harrison Ford has improvised a scene that's become famous. In Raiders of the Lost Ark he was meant to have that giant fight scene with the guy with the big swords, but instead just shot him. He shot him in a kinda 'really, I've gotta go' and ran off to the toilet to release some more liquid poo.
Hurray!
