Who are you and what have you done with the real Garin?

Sorry it's just you've been so productive lately on the forum which leads into my reason for posting this thread.

I'm terribly organised and I get easily distracted. Do you use any software at all to help keep you focused on your work? This question is open to everyone too. Maybe you're all just very disciplined when it comes to work.

There is one program that I think would be perfect for me. Unfortunately it's Mac only and I haven't made the switch yet. There must be something just as good on the PC somewhere.

A topic with my name in it, the proudest moment of my life.

Not sure how software can keep you focused on work to be honest.  At least personally I'm way past the stage of any type of organiser helping me do anything. :)  I have literally no attention span at all.  It'll be a minor miracle if I manage this post in one sitting.  Rewards usually work well for me.  If theres something I want or like doing then I'll make sure I do the "boring" stuff first.

There is a fairly good Windows equivalent of Things apparently, although its name escapes me at the moment.  And the usual search of "Things alternative" naturally yields nothing.  Stupid mac people and their silly software names.

Thanks Garin :) I had a look round and tried a few but didn't see any that I liked, so lets try something different.

Garin I've seen the IT Crowd three times now, what can I watch? Oh wait Black Books! I can watch that on 4oD right?

On the subject of watching stuff for free. I always loved the idea of Hulu and wished they'd do it for the UK. But it looks like that bubble might burst when (if?) they start charging a subscription next year.

That ain't gonna happen Garin. I'm fine watching ads, sometimes I enjoy them, but I'm not going to pay good money to watch the odd show I can see on TV, buy on DVD or just download it illegally.

I'm watching The Detectives at the moment.  And after that probably Ever Decreasing Circles.
