I've read a few scattered reports (OK, mostly reviews on AC, nothing too reliable) that there's going to be an Advent Children game on the PS3.
I'm assuming this is just crazy unfounded rumours, but has anyone heard anything?

IMO GTA is rubbish...when you compare it to FF7 its not even good enough to kiss FF7's toes.

Just realised, I have to admit to never finishing FF7 - I think I need to find my PSx memory cards and copy of FF7 and run through it again .. once I've finished that damn GTA SA :)

Wouldn't say best film ever, but it is rather impressive, and a good follow on
> the opening for the game and the film are exactly the same.
Aye the first time i watched the intro, it sent a little shiver down my spine. Especially as i finished FF 7 recently again. The opening scene is actually a revamped version of the closing bonus scene at the end of the game after the credits end.

Yeah the music is good, I found myself chuckling when Tifa won her fight and the phone rang with the victory music from the game.
> Great animation - check!
Yeah of course, its meant to be great its an animated film ... well CGI film

Yep, still not enough blood for people being thrown through walls

You what? I'm still not sure on what happened...

If they do a good dub it will be alot better as reading subs all the time made me lose the plot
Did like the into anime, which recapped bits of FF7, which was lucky as i was watching with someone who hasn't played FF7 before.

well in my humble opinion it was the best film ever.
Great music - check!
Great animation - check!
awesome action seems (and plenty of them) - check!
Plot - check! OK, it's not as good as FFVII, but it beats alot of the plots out there in movies today.
Brilliant, obviously I can't wait for the english vers either.
In response to whjat someone said about my comments about "re-doing the OST for a FFVII remake", i didn't mean change it, just update it like thewy did in Advent Children. the opening for the game and the film are exactly the same, but AC is more complex, recorded by a proper orchestra etc. THATS the only change I'd wanna see.

nice animation and wonderful imagination in the action scenes...
but...err...crappy plot? too much focus on the action and coolness factor.

Probably a DVD purchased from a magical place called ebay. You can get a cheap one on there. It'll be a dodgy DVD, but if its FF its good enough. Also it will be subtitled. I'm awaiting the UK release, at which time I will buy a PSP.

You cant possibly change the soudtrack or the gameplay system because they are what make the original so great. It would be simply improving graphics and adding voices and thats not really worth it.

They're doing enough spin-offs arnt they???
AC was a good idea, I though but then I heard about Dirge of Cerberus and Before Crisis.... you CAN have too much of a good thing! (Except FFVIII, I can NEVER have enough of that!)
Oh yeah...leave FF8 alone, I love it like a son! XD

Just hope they do a better job on that than they did with the original :-D
Anyway no leave FFVII alone, i'd rather it still be considered a classic rather than have Square, given their recent form, ruin it with a crappy remake.

I think remakes can be good if you change them enough. For example, if they did an FFVII remake, I'd want new cut-scenes, voice overs, re-made OST, improvements to the gameplay systems, larger areas to explore and more secrets and vehicles etc... to make good remakes you need to put loadsa new stuff in to make it worth it. I'd heard that was what it was for, but then some rumours and articles saying other things.
Most of it was ocntradicting htough, one said "Square Enix announces FFVII remake" and another said "There will be no FFVII Remake, says Square".
Still, would be cool if they did decide to do it anyway! And then follow it up with an FFVIII remake! XD

There was a FFVII demo solely for showing off the power of the PS3, idiot people probably got confused with that, it being so terribly complicated and all.

Yeah I heard about that too...although last I heard Square said they WERN'T makinhg a new FFVII coz of the time it wuld take and the staff it would require.
Here's hoping though, I'm huge FF fan too! If they did do a new FFVII game, you think they'd do voice overs as well and change things like the battle system, or just update it graphically?
