The review section is great, but sometimes we just don't have time to write a full length review for everything we have had the chance to play. Please post the games you have tried recently here and let everyone know whats worth checking out and just as importantly what to avoid.
Cheers everyone.

Its a puzzle game. The idea is pretty simple, you build a structure from point A to point B. You do so with little balls of goo that crawl over your structure as you build it. As you are building with goo your structure is quite fluid so theres alsorts of physics-madness going on. As I say pretty simple but the game has so much charm about it.

What's it actually about? I've heard good things...but without buying the game (nor looking on other websites) I've no idea what it is.
Oh, and I'm currently playing Bioshock and Red Alert 3 Uprising on PC, and Wario Ware (new one) on DSi :)

Broken Sword on the Wii. It's a strange experience, playing the same game from an entirely difference character. I've no idea whether anything from the original game will even feature.

Whilst away from uni I only have my Wii to entertain me.
So I'm now an expert at Wii Sports Bowling, got a star ranking in everything on Mario Kart, and have nearly finished Guitar Hero 3 on expert.
I'm so bored...

Enchanted Arms
A pretty standard JRPG, overly frequent random battles, end game that requiring level grinding to make it doable etc.. One thing thats really impressive though is how bad the voice acting and scripting is. I dont even think its the result of poor translation, they really meant it all. Still without it I dont think I'd have continued playing as its kept me quite entertained.
And given I only paid £3 for it, good purchase. :)
World of Goo
Work of genius really. Even better considering I only paid £4 for it off Steam

Thought I would resurrect this thread.
I'm currently playing :
Guitar Hero Metallica,I have posted a review for it if anyone's interested. Its fantastic but its not the easiest game of its kind.I have already broken one guitar on it !.
Army Of Two,which was cheap and is basically a Gears Of War rip off.Its alright for the £8.99 I picked it up for, wouldn't have paid much more for it though.
Just ordered Left 4 Dead as I missed that when it came out. There's nothing else about at the moment that really grabs me to be honest.Unless someone can point me towards something I may have overlooked ?.

Ahh, I played it on 360. Barely touch my Wii these days. Though did play some more Ghost Squad a week or so ago. That game's ace! :D

Wow, my login still works!!
I've just finished Prince of Persia (the new one). It was pretty rubbish tbh! It looked pretty, but the gameplay was just pap when compared to Tomb Raider Underworld, which I completed the other day.
Tomb Raider Underworld however, was awesome!! Everyone should have a go on that one. :)
Now back to updating my CV now Free Radical has pretty much kicked the bucket, and I'm out of work... :(

FarCry 2 is keeping me entertained at the moment. Although it seems to be getting very repetitive very early. Not too far in so i will persevere and see.
Resistance 2- Campaign improved-ish from number one, no vehicles though. Co-Op massively fun, with class introduction and 8 players vs computer its incredibly involving. Although they really need to balance the classes. Healing 1 players gives anywhere from 150-500exp. Spec-ops replen ammo gives 30 a pop :S Make it 100 and you have a fair game
Alone in the Dark Inferno- Errr feel i have not given it a fair chance. But to be honest from the 2.5 hours I played, I don't want to. Seems sluggish, controls infinitely fidly for no reason, and the basics are hard...and the hard stuff easy. Shame tbh
Top Spin 3- Don't talk to me about it. Not even worth mentioning

Moto GP 08 is really good.Much easier to get into than the last couple of games.Enjoying this at the moment, bit like Forza on 2 wheels. Its the best bike racing game currently available by a mile IMO.
Forgot to mention its available for under £20 at Game.co.uk at the moment (less 9% Quidco and loyalty points) brings it in at under £18 delivered.Cheapest by far.

Haven't got a CEX near me.
For 360 I could maybe sell Oblivion: GOTY Edition or the first GOW special edition, but really I haven't got anything I want to get rid of right now.

£18 is a great price for it, and well worth the money, you could try selling some older games at CEX or something for cash??
Or if you got any XBox 360 games you are looking to sell then post them and maybe someone will purchase from here??

I still really want this and hoping I can get it before the Steelbook version sells out. Either that or I try to find £17.99 to get it on Play.com.

Just got Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe and I can't believe it,its not terrible !.OK,it's not as polished as Soul Calibur IV and it has a wierd control system (which is not helped by the 360's infamously awful D-Pad) but once you get the hang of it there's a lot of fun to be had here. Its already available for around £25 only a couple of weeks after its release.Midway have made a decent attempt at a story mode (there are separate MK and DC games to play through) as well as the usual Arcade and Multiplayer games.Worth picking up for beat em up fans IMO,especially as it seems to be heading for the bargain bins already !.

I'm playing The Last Remnant. I'm only 60 hours or so into it (not bad for week 1) and whilst I'd love to write a review on it I'm only about 1/4 way through the first disc and a review wouldn't really do it justice as it will probably hit me with even more awesomeness every few hours until I'm done.
Suffice to say it is my favourite RPG this year and will quite possibly knock Skies of Arcadia, Final Fantasy VII and Star Ocean 3 down a couple of notches on my leaderboard when I'm done with it.
If RPG players die and go to heaven this should be one of the treats on offer.
Just to give you a taster:
You can recruit members for your party that unlock quests, they'll stand around town for you to talk to them and request certain materials and nick your good stuff to equip themselves with. You only equip your main character, your party members take care of themselves. Doesn't sound like much but you can have roughly 30 party members by the time you get to the end, with up to 25 of them fighting in battles at the same time. (Hello Suikoden/Skies).
Quests can unlock areas that you wouldn't normally access via the main storyline, so far I have about 15 dungeons/maps to explore that wouldn't otherwise be available, replete with rare loot and bosses that I wouldn't normally see. (Hello Final Fantasy).
The bigger the fights you get into, the more chance you have of dying, but the greater the benefits in terms of skillgains and loot at the end them. There's no random battles, you get to pick what you fight and when and in what quantity (Hello Blue Dragon).
The usual RPG grind is alleviated by the fact that you can have up to 60 or so characters duking it out each battle, with random QTE button pressing to ensure criticals and no misses, these can even be automated for you via Config screen if you're lazy. (Hello... nope, I'm stumped).
If you use the same weapon long enough it'll upgrade (+1, +2 etc). You can also use parts from monsters or that you find in the field to upgrade them further (Broadsword > Combat Broadsword > Warrior's Broadsword and so on). Then there are dual wield, two-handed, sword, sword and shield, even quad wield to consider (the Sovani race have 4 arms) and all these different classes produce different combat arts to level up. (Hello Monster Hunter).
There are storylines and storylines - the main one is your emo-teen saves the world fare, but you can seek out what seems like 100s of others dealing with repentance, love, jealousy, revenge, greed, all varying between find and beat up something to provide an escort to find an item or two. All of them optional but worth seeking out.
Guilds provide you with targets to meet, meet them and get rewarded. (Obtain a Champion's Sword, kill X number of Y, build a party containing certain attributes/classes, find rare items). You don't even have to know in advance what you need to do, the guild will reward you as you meet these targets and display new ones when you've run out. There are roughly 65 targets per guild, and you can unlock new guilds via quests/storyline.
See why I can't write a review yet? It's just too big and I've only just got started...

Well, I'm still waiting for GH:WT for xmas along with the new Need for Speed: Undercover as well. I'm mostly playing Wrath of the Lich King expansion for World of Warcraft, though I've started to hit the wall with it again, but it should tide me over until the new year.

I'm playing fallout 3 and l4d. I've been playing fallout 3 for ages now and i love that game. Possibly my GOTY. Whilst i can get mods to tweak the level issue, they really could have had more then 20 levels in the game. I levelled up to lvl20 before i got halfway through and the main villians were revealed.

Wish I had the money for Rockband II and all the instruments, got the Guitar from GH3 though so I might get Rockband 2 on PS3 and gradually build up the other instruments.
Currently playing through Fable II (fantastic) and about to start Saints Row II and Farcry 2 as soon as I get the chance/energy/time!

Too many games really to post here,
You're inthe movies...good fun playijg minigames with a camera and then having your images thrown into a mini B-Movie. Worth a look with Christmas and when the family are over. Need a bit of space and a good background for a decent image cut out though.
Left 4 Dead. Blew me out of the water when I bought this. Started off playing it as it were a resident evil game, but as it got going...what an FPS it is! Bit too sensitive and the graphics aren't the best, but it is a great laugh playing through the zombie apocalpse with a few surprises. Not yet played online, but the idea of playing with 3 strangers adds feel to the game as the four characters are meant to be strangers. Recommend it to anybody who hasn't played it yet.
GoW2: Haven't really gotten into it (maybe as I'm going straight through on Hardcore on a single player campaign). Horde mode is a good laugh when playing through online...although still awaiting the unlock of the Horde level 10 achievement. One ambition for the end of 2009 (yes...that far ahead) is to get a total of 100,000 kills for the Seriously 2.0 achievement. Will be back in the play pile around xmas time though for sure. Graphically seems a let down from it's predecessor.
COD5: Love the game. I actually rate it higher than COD4. Treyarch have pulled something slightly special out of the bag that surprised me. Online I am really enjoying, as I believe the fear of attack dogs greatly beats the fear of the helicopter. Playin through on veteran...although again, my game playing has slipped slightly, so about mid-campaign now. Another one I recommend!
Lips: Bit of a laugh with the jazzy microphones, Few decent songs, but 40 doesn't seem enough. Few decent downloads available but as there isn't a difficulty setting it can get a bit simple. Hate the fact y sister beats me nearly every game (although being tone deaf doesn't help me at all!!!). Good use of a motion sensor and I can see myself enjoying playing my friends at this at a party some time soon. A down point the achievements are too easy....
Dead Space: Awesomeness of a resi-horror, but in space. Lots of neat little features (like Zero-G) to keep things interesting, but again, another game that has slipped down my list! Really should get back into playing it as it is a top title.
Guitar Hero World Tour... is not the best music game there eer was. Bit of a let down. Very few decent songs. Very "I'd rather get Rock Band 2". It looks very unfinished, Will play through for a few more achievements, but it may head to my trade-in pile before the year is out...

Shaun White Snowboarding.Take the first 2 letters of his first name then add the last 3 letters of his surname and that is what his game is !.Reasonable graphics let down by nasty frame rate issues and a control system which plays like trying to nail a jelly to the ceiling.Could have been a bit of fun but sadly its just annoying and pretty much no fun to play.Come on EA where's SSX ?.

This past week I've been playing:
Rock Band 1/2 (360) - Really good and good fun with a group of people. Got the Rock Band 1 songs on Rock Band 2 now too so there is a nice big list of songs to choose from.
Puzzle Quest (DS) - I periodically go back to the game and I've been playing it a bit more since my sister borrowed Professor Layton. It's not too difficult a game once you start thinking about the next moves.
GT5 Prologue (PS3) - I'm loving this game, it's just classic GT and that is right up my alley. It really looks nice too, it's just a shame that the full game is a little while away because I can't see it lasting much longer from how much I've played already.
LittleBigPlanet (PS3) - Again, really enjoying it, although I haven't played nearly enough as I have wanted to. I'm looking forward to unlocking more stuff and then creating something.
Football Manager Live (PC) - Sports Interactive contacted me and wanted me back to do some more beta testing. Some nice improvements and some big bugs too. :)
Braid (XBLA) - One of the best XBLA arcade games. Crazy time manipulation makes this a real brain melter. The music is really beautiful on it too.
Castle Crashers (XBLA) - Not played too much but it plays really well and is really funny too.
Strong Bads Cool Game For Attractive People: Baddest of the Bands (WiiWare) - All 3 of the games in this series so far have been great, especially if you visit the Homestarrunner website. Point and click games really work well on the Wii.
Forza 2 (360) - Still trying to get back to where I was before I had to start again. Getting there and I think I'm a bit quicker this time around.
I think that's all. :D

Been really busy recently so haven't had chance to play much.
Super Streetfighter II HD remix XBLA : Well worth the 1200 MS points (about £8.50) IMO.Graphics are great, very retro and seriously cool. Will keep fans more than happy until Streetfighter IV comes out next year.A great beat em up only slightly let down by the 360's useless D-Pad.You can try the game for free if anyone's interested.
Midnight Club LA : Not a bad racer, not as chavvy as Need For Speed but its nothing really new.Available now for £23 at Amazon, worth a look for that if you like this kind of thing.
Gears Of War 2 : Great game, excellent single player campaign and much better online than it predecessor.Shame I suck at it though !.
Scene It : Box Office Smash : Good fun, party game.Really good pick and play factor but not sure about its lasting appeal.Intend to play over Christmas but will probably move it one after that.
Call Of Duty World At War : Played it at my mates the other night, still pretty underwhelmed by it if i'm totally honest.COD 4 is superior in all departments IMO,may pick it up if I see it cheap.
007 Quantum Of Solace : Very average game,OK if your a massive Bond fan I suppose but it didn't do much for me.Wouldn't pay full price for it.

Just completed for the second time PC: Code of Honor 2: Conspiracy Island. Their first offering was sh*te. This one has been built using the FEAR engine and is far superior and the one reason why I bought it.
The beginning is extremely 'old school' and quickly completed, but if you want a PC FPS, then stick with it and you will be surprised:-)
