Super Smash brothers Brawl. New details are out on Monday apparently. If you're anything like me (I really hope you aren't) then the primary reason you bought the wii was for this game.
Anyhoo, I thought it would be cool to get a discussion going about what kind of characters, weapons and levels you would like to see in the game.
So...... What kind of characters, weapons and levels would you guys like to see in the game?

Brawl is a must buy for me now. I liked Melee but I was always more of a Sonic fan than a Mario fan. Now I get to beat Mario up with Sonic! :D

Sonic The Hedgehog is confirmed as a playable character.
Yes, forget Sonic and Mario at the Olympics, this is where the real battle of the stars is going to happen!
With a possible Sonic themed level and sidekicks like Tails, Smash Bros Brawl is getting more exciting by the day.

Big News - Although we knew that it might happen, it's finally been confirmed:
SSBB is ONLINE!
The site has been updated to show the 2 different methods you can use to play the game online. With Friends will use your friends codes, while With Anyone! will let you play...well...anyone.
But it's not just a straight fight that's being offered, the message at the bottom of this last update says 'We’re planning a number of services that make use of Wi-Fi, but we’ll reveal them gradually with the other modes. Enjoy.'

And yeah, I dunno, at least single player it was a let down... And multiplayer got a bit dull after a couple of games.
Just a little repetative I suppose.
But then, I've yet to be wowed by the Wii on the whole yet, reccomend any games for me?

From what I heard, we get Mario Kart in 2007 and Super Smash Brothers Brawl in 2008, while the Americans get it the other way round. To be honest, that's gay.

Well, I'll probably get this and Mario Kart (which I can't wait for). I do hope it's better than Charged Football, which by my opinion was real letdown.

Don't forget: May be one of the greatest games ever!
heh.
Basically it's like a 3D fighting game but on floating platforms. Unlike other fighting games, the idea is not to beat your opponent into submission but to get them weak enough to smash them off these platforms.
All the regular Nintendo cast plus guest stars from other franchises (this time Snake from MGS makes an appearance as a playable character) are there to choose from and there are some screen-filling specials to pull off too.
Basically the most refreshing, original fighting game series ever.

2008 is bad, this is the one game I really want. Deoxys are set to appear from Poke Balls, there's a great screenshot of it doing Hyper Beam on Dojo.

The idea of playing a game at a certain time to trigger events sounds like a great idea. Hopefully there will be more than just the 8pm one mentioned on their website. It's a shame that we don't get it this year, but with Madden, Galaxy, Guitar Hero, Metroid and so many more this year I'm more than happy.
And yeah I'm hoping Diddy Kong is a playable character. Fingers crossed.

The new levels are looking mighty spiffay so far. I'm looking forward to the second Zelda level and hopefully some of the past levels remade. (Come on Saffron City ^-^)
Also, the day and night system sounds totally awesome too, reminds me of the system from the pokemon gold/silver games.

The game will be compatible with the wii remote on its side, the wii remote and nunchuck, a gamecube controller and the classic controller as well.
Looks like the Nintendogs Labrador is not a playable character. Amazon have got the latest release date as August 31st :( I wish they'd just hurry up and release this. At least give us some more characters that will be appearing in it...

Never played on a SSB game before, but having seen screenshots, videos, previews... I think this is going to be unbelieveable, I wish they'd hurry up and release it.. best Wii game ever! (Ok, A bit premature, but still). I've just seen that you can throw a poke ball and a pokemon will come and aid you!

Latest update shows that you can play Smash Bros with pretty much any type of controller available. That's pretty cool and should allow for everyone to choose a favourite controller.
Plus, it should mean motion controls with the Wii, but only if you want them.

Now 'wack' is one of those ambigious words. It either means really good or really bad depending on where you come from.
Anyway, the game as a whole sounds great. The more stuff that appears on the official site, the more I like the sound of it.
