You guys never told me about this, I think it's pretty good seeing as we're still using VCRs here. And you can even record while you're playing a game? That's gotta be good. So would I be able to record something on my PS3 and watch it on a PSP?

Just a reply to the actual question you asked: yes by hooking your psp and your ps3 wirelessly via remote play you can control everything on play tv including watching the tv programs live watching your already recorded programs stored on play tv and schedule all the shows you want on the move all of this as long as your in a wi-fi hotspot and your ps3 is connected to the internet hope this little explanation helps:)

Recording and storing on a PC is always going to be far more flexible, and as you say you can stream to 360 and PS3 anyway.  The PS3 even allows you to copy the files on to the Hard Drive if you find streaming to be too slow or just don't want the PC on.  Or you can even use an external HDD with the 360 and PS3, so just a matter of unplugging it from the PC and taking it to the console.

I use a digital TV card in my PC to do similar...except I can listen to a CD whilst also recording TV as well as play a game or browse t'internet.

If I could figure out how to use the software that came with my TV card I could even record up to 4 channels at the same time - though it's less complicated to use Windows Media Centre instead.

I can also stream TV wirelessly (though I'm not spending £60 on a wireless receiver so I still use good ole fashioned ethernet...) to my Xbox 360 if I want... :D

Still, all good for PS3 owners :D

Actually, according to several news reports it seems that you can....but then they changed it at the last minute.

You can stream to a PSP via remote play, you cannot physically copy recordings from the ps3 to other devices (such as a psp) though.
