This really is the only games I would consider buying a PS3 for. And it happens to be my favourite series of all games.

Which is a bit gay, 'cause I don't see one game justifying buying a PS3.

Well, it's just an example really, as without the cell chip, I don't see how they could get a game looking that good. I mean look at the shading and textures! This is just in the early stages you know.

Oh, and to you two guys who it didn't load for, try and see if your internet cookies are interfering, and if not then I don't know what you can do.

For those of you who it did work for, you'll probably know that it opens straight with windows media player, so if it continues not to work for some of you, then maybe try and right click, then go to save target as.

I checked it out before I uploaded it, and it worked fine. :)

Ya, but I'm not here to argue man....without it, the whole system would probably be a lot slower.

I wasn't comparing it to the graphics to start with, I was just simply saying it has a lot to offer, without realising it would cause debate on here.

Now, I'm really wanting to talk about the game mate. The cell processor thing was off topic, but I just felt like mentioning it. I'm gonna get both the 360 and ps3, but the ps3 will be better, and mgs4 with those qualities just could not run that fast without the cell chip in my opinion.

Whatever you say man, what I said about the cell chip was on a completely new line, and you didn't read it right, you just assumed. The cell chip might I add plays a big part in the ps3, but seeing as you don't understand, what's the point of explaining when you'll go off and assume again.

Was watching some E3 DVDs over the last few days.  Some of that Sony presentation just either made me cringe or laugh.  There were a bunch of us watching it all - sat through like 30 mins or so of the usual Sony Excel / Powerpoint sales figures speech that they do in EVERY presentation.  Then of course came the new duck demo after they showed the old PS2 one.  Have to admit, I woulda loved to have been there just so I could have shouted "can you tell us the list of games on the PS2 that match the graphics on that duck demo ?  Cause I still haven't found any !"

Then they started the disturbing demos containing computer generated women and commenting on how they look so real you could fall in love with them...  Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.  Yeah thanks Sony, looks like Nintendo have beaten you to the "toy" for the women, maybe you can make something for the guys to insert themselves into.  Which brings me onto that bloody Eyedentity.  A sad guy in his chair, having a conversation and chatting up these two computer generated girls.  It was sad how into it the guy was - I was actually embarressed for him.  Anyone who buys that and gets into it that seriously needs a large piece of lead piping wrapped round their head.

Then of course came all the "game" footage.  And by that I mean movies which are about as in game as the duck demo.  There was only one game that was really in game footage and it was an FPS which didn't really look that impressive at all.  Can't remember the name of it now, but if someone starts whining I'm sure I can look up the name if I have to (and no its not Killzone 2).  Suffice to say, the XBox 360 games looked better quality than that.  So yeah, Kutaragi, be careful with the whole XBox 1.5 funny man comments - cause they might well come back to bite you in the nuts Kenneth.

Good, because by Nvidia's own admission the RSX chip is a shader model 3.0 compatable chip and the Xenos is bordering on WGF compatability which I'm guessing they'll call the shaders model 4.0 :-).

Nvidia also canned the Cg language because it's rubbish, but have resurrected it for the PS3 because Sony got stuck on the fact that shaders are written in HLSL these days, a thoroughly Microsoft language :-D.

Basically, the difference in graphical quality on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 is going to be like comparing The current generation of ATI and Nvidia cards for PCs.  Nothing between them in terms of visual quality and little in terms of performance.

With shaders being programmable, it means that the graphics will be down to individual game developers abilities and not limited by the hardware until later in the generation when the PC cards are well out-performing the consoles capabilities.

Heh! I do like the impersonation they do on Dead Ringers - arms on strings are perhaps a little insulting, but its shocking when you see the real man, when the camera is right... he really does.

I'm not talking about how amazing MGS4 is because all I've seen of it is Snake running through a street in Mogadishu hiding from an army with technology stolen directly from The Empire.

Might be good when we see actual gameplay footage.
