So far I love it, the inclusion of the M9, empty magazines and dirty books makes for a much more tactical experience. Also this looks stunning and battle animations are much more fluid than the original. Also with a larger array of offensive moves shootouts with Snake are really fun and less "I go boom he falls to hte floor" so everyone who starts biatching about it not being as visually arty please STFU.
1 bad thing though - The original alert music's been taken out.

Ah but can you now move properly when aiming?
I'm guessing that still puts it back in the darkages.

1 good thing : You can change the difficulty after you complete it and carry on again.
Bad things : Everything else.
They took alot of the original music out. Very bad thing. They changed the cut scenes alot. More impressive perhaps, but not directed by Hideo therefore = poo.
There's also a first person view in which you can shoot, meaning it's far far FAR easier to get around security cameras.
I'll stop rambling now, or I won't stop.

I had a credit note for GS so I just got Twin Snakes today. Haven't done too much yet, just got to the bit where you get the SOCOM. I almost bought Sons of Libery and MGS3 as well, but I'll try playing through this first.

I got the bandanna and stealth suit. Yum.
As far as I can see, it's the best of MGS (minus some stuff that hardcore fans cry about) with the extra pizzazz of MGS2, minus the crap of MGS2.
Hurrah!

Yeah for me it was all the good bits of MGS2, but with an actual game attached. And a very good game at that. People who complain about it not being as 'pure', as 'beautiful', are the same people that complain that Resi 4 is too different to the old Resis, aka sad.

They angered me muchly. I mean really.
You can't take Otacon seriously when he's discussing nuclear weapons and how it's going to be the end of the world etc, when there's a Mario and Yoshi doll sat behind him waving, and in their primary colours, stick out like a sore thumb.
Not good.

Oh stop taking it so seriously!
It was a nice touch, and the sort of thing Otacon as an ubergeek might have lying around his lab.

Yup. Twin Snakes might not be as 'pure' wa wa, but then again, was it ever supposed to be FFS?
Was it supposed to be the definitive MGS?
No, it was the original, tarted up and expanded and altered for the Cube.
OMG!

That's hardly proper Anime though... And Otacon was more into Animes with Robots in...
And it was dolls of Mario and Yoshi.... What have they got to do with Anime?
