Um, good question.
To be honest I dunno, never tried.
Version 0.3 I think you could, so hopefully the functionality's still there.

Superb! Thank ye kindly sir!
Just one final question before I start downloading it all: Can I set up MTA for use over a non-internet-connected LAN?
Cheers.

Mafia is an amazing game. Excellent storyline, amazing (for the time) graphics, It sucked me in and didn't let go. Only thing, it's a little pedestrian, but since I was smoking at the time, it didn't bother me at all.
The ending was.. "Whuuuuuu? What.....?"
Storytelling at it's finest, and the closest a game can get to a movie.
One of the only games to keep me playing past the finish, with it's rocketcar extras.
And it's not true crime, while entertaining ,comes across as a Michael Bay flick

I heard the conversion was pants, but I honestly believe Mafia is leagues ahead of anything the GTA games have produced. Excellent setting, amazing story, great voice acting, lots of varied missions, the game is just spoiled by it being too darned short.
Certainly some aspects are flawed, the shooty section are a little annoying at times but I even enjoyed them more than Grand Theft Auto's action sequences.
I just hope the sequel lives up to it.

I tried downloading Multi Theft Auto once but couldn't seem to get it working. Just came up with a window full of weird options. I may have downloaded the wrong bit though, client instead of server or something. Do you have a reliable download link handy?

San Andreas certainly doesn't manage to convey the atmosphere of early 90's West Coast America as well as Vice City managed to do with 80's Miami.

Vice City is probably my favourite game of all time - the Miami setting, the 80s music, the Scarface references. If you can find Multi Theft Auto (the unofficial multiplayer patch for it) it's even more fun.
Yet to play San Andreas yet, but I think the place and time setting of Vice City will be hard to beat.

GTA Vice was a very good game with many improvements over GTA 3, but the story was something of a limp lettuce.
San Andreas is a good game, and the inclusion of things such as Stats for each gun really makes it.
Best to play Vice first, so you really appreciate San Andreas, then get that aswell. 3 was still a benchmark game, just not quite as good as the other two ...

Having just played GTA:VC on PC, I'd say its rather good. Probably a fair amount better than GTA:III but I havent played SA either so I cant say any more. VC was a good game while it lasted, but probably could have had a few more main missions.

I got it. I tried it once, it was alright, I suppose.
My order (without including "GTA: SA" 'cos I've not played it or "GTA: London" 'cos it was an expansion pack) in best-to-worst order goes:
- GTA: VC
- GTA III
- GTA
- GTA II

Not missed out on much then. It may be immense and have incredible depth, but it's still not as good as GTA III or Vice City.

GTA Vice City without a doubt.
I've played GTA 3, not bad, but not a patch on Vice City.
80's music, Miami feel.
Classic.
Btw, havent played San Andreas.

The immediately obvious answer would be San Andreas, but I disagree. The PS2 version was overly ambitious and it actually isn't as good as a lot of people say it is. Hopefully all of the problems will be sorted when it comes to PC. Gone way off topic here, nevermind. Vice City is still the best.

I'll always be fond of GTA III. The feeling of virtually no restrictions felt revolutionary at the time.
