Hey everyone!
Just had a thought - we all love a bargain. There is something satisfying about picking up that game you wanted for just that little bit less than you thought you would!
So why not have a topic that stays at the top of this forum, where people can post when they find a baragin. If you find a game going cheap on a certain website, or if a shop you know of is having a Sale that others might miss.
Just a way of sharing the Love! And saving some cash. Even if it will not be a topic that stays at the top....
ANYONE WHO KNOWS OF A PLACE AT THE MOMENT WHERE YOU CAN GRAB A BARGAIN, POST IT HERE!

i may rent it just to try - i dont know if i will get COD5 or not, but it is probably between that and GoW2. Still got to complete Halo 3 - i been caught playing Lost Odyssey all the time lol

Yeah, first GOW is great, got the limited edition one cheap off a mate who wanted to trade in all his 360 games.

I loved it mate,actually played through the single player campaign twice (only game I've ever done that with).Single player is a bit short,but its fantastic fun.Its available for £12.49 : here.Easily in my top 3 shooters (with COD 4 and Unreal Tournament 3).Much preferred it to Halo 3 but online its always full of absolute idiots.Don't know if there is demo of it available on live ?.Probably worth waiting for the sequel now though.I would be very surprised if you didn't like it. |

but yea i prefer COD4 aswell i think - Fable 2 is what im looking forward to, need to watch some GoW footage

Cheers for the comments guys.Already got Gears 2 ordered and I'm still not 100% convinced about COD 5 (still prefer COD 4 if I'm totally honest).Depends on who's getting it I suppose,if loads of people I know are all on it then I might.Gears 2 just looks amazing though doesn't it.I'm in the middle of decorating at the moment but if I can get it all done over the weekend I'm finally being 'allowed' a Hi Def TV (my wife always drives a hard bargain!) to put in the room.Gears 2 should look amazing on that!.

Cheers Emmie !,just noticed that,a very pleasant surprise !.I wouldn't worry about the HD.It took me 2 years to fill the 20GB drive and even then there were demo's and stuff I never played on and could have deleted.You'll never fill it with game content etc.

I'm afraid not mate.I think its the dashboard that takes up the space.My 120GB drive has 3 gamer profiles,some downloaded game content and the COD 5 beta (thats 900MB) and its showing 99GB available.No way is there anywhere near 21GB of stuff on it.

Well I was thinking PS3 only playing the X360 version on my brothers XBOX. Now that I have my X360 hooked up with HDMI the graphics are better than the PS3 and the game runs more fluidly. Its really weird actually.

Yeha defo Mark. My only had 48GB Free space after turning it on lol Dead Rising is ok, my girlfriend wanted it but its not a bad game if you can get it for cheap.

We will have to have a game of FIFA and Halo together soon. Let me know how good Dead Rising is as i may get it but then the second one is out soon i think. May wait for that.
You got a really good result with the 60GB version. I could only afford the arcade at the time (and me being impatient bought it then lol - and thanks to pete i got a 20GB hard drive now aswell)
Just a quick question to pete - i only have 13GB of space on the hard drive, is there anyway to free up more space - all i have is my profile and like 3 or 4 games one there??

I got my XBOX last night. Traded in loads of PSP, Wii and PS3 games at Blockbuster. They gave me £165 exchange credit. So I bought XBOX 360 20GB with Fifa 09, Halo 3 and Dead Rising.
When I got home to my amazement I opened the box and it was a 60GB model with HDMI port WAHOOOO!!!

Blockbuster actually give some good trade in prices at the moment, so worth trying to get a pile together if you have one of their stores nearby. They might have some new 360's for sale in return.

Ah right - well you could always try selling any old games on here or ebay. I am pretty bad for trading old games in - i have to admit it. But then i figure if i dont want them any more or will not play them, better not let them loose value!

If you can find one, they're selling for £99 in Sainsburys, but you'll be lucky to get one there.
Otherwise use an online store together with Quidco to get it for £120 and get some money back too.

Meh, cancelled mine too. Was a bit hopeful to get £400 worth of games for £150 I s'pose. Still the money has left my account which is a bit rude as they have cancelled the order without letting me know. Only reason I found out because I was checking the order status on their website.
Anways have sent a letter to their customer service dep. If I get a full refund then I will not have lost anything, hopefully get a voucher at the least for the hassle :D

They have cancelled the order. not given notification by e-mail, just cancelled it and the ufnd sare still not in my bank!! that is not good - going to write and try get something out of them for this! i thought by law they had to sell at what price it was?!?!
Also Jubba - you can get an Xbox for like £120 (arcade one) on amazon or pretty much anywhere
if you want a used one - try searching ebay for one near you and offering cash to people, thats how i got my wii when it first came out for like £150

I doubt you will actually get them for that price though. They will email you and refund you.
Does anybody know of anyone selling an XBOX 360 for relatively cheap or know of the cheapest place to buy one. Im not bothered which one as long as it supports wireless controllers.
