Hey everyone!

Just had a thought - we all love a bargain. There is something satisfying about picking up that game you wanted for just that little bit less than you thought you would!

So why not have a topic that stays at the top of this forum, where people can post when they find a baragin. If you find a game going cheap on a certain website, or if a shop you know of is having a Sale that others might miss.

Just a way of sharing the Love! And saving some cash. Even if it will not be a topic that stays at the top....
ANYONE WHO KNOWS OF A PLACE AT THE MOMENT WHERE YOU CAN GRAB A BARGAIN, POST IT HERE!

Look forward to saving.

It is a good game as a stand alone, does not link much to the film but as a standard action/adventure game then it will provide some fun. With plenty new games out it might stay in the shelf for a while, but £13 is a bargain!

Part of me wishes i had ordered Tekken, but i know i would not have played it and so it would have been a waste, but some great bargains at the moment.

Borderlands is a great game and Resident Evil is a good price if you like the game.

Oh and Prototype was a very enjoyable game!

Hmmm, I could trade it in. I have the original release PS3, with backwards compat. I could trade that in and buy a slim from Sainsbury's for 200 quid.

£195 from Currys. They price match Sainsburys and give 10% off the difference. so its £199.99 in Sainsburys for a 120gb PS3 Slim, Currys match it and beat it by £5 as theres are £250.

I got my mate one on Saturday in there, £194.99

Problem with that is that you get a second hand one in return.

Trade in Cash in CEX is £147.00

Gamestation would give you £148 and get a Sony Playstation 120GB Slim with Call of Juarez new for £249.99.

Can trade in Call of Juarez back in CEX for the PS3 Bluetooth headset (straight swap)

Then get Dragon Age Origins online through quidco at one of the sites which usually does decent games prices like play.com

Right - this is like a fun game.

My example;

Trade your 160GB (boxed) ps3 in at CEX for against a 120GB Slim
You get £183 for the 160GB, leaving you £52 to pay for a Slim Ps3

Get a Ps3 Value Bluetooth Headset from CEX for £10

Dragon Age Origin £35 HERE

So you would pay £97 in total for it.

Not too bad i guess. Did you find better?

Nice.

I need to finish Bioshock (though getting it on PC means I'll have to start again anyway) and I liked Oblivion.

Now my PC can cope with these games I'll grab a copy.

Just for you Emmie a 2 minute non GAD worthy Tekken 6 review ! :

It's basically Tekken as you have always known with nicer graphics, faster gameplay (similar to Soul Calibur IV) and with all the 40 + characters available from the start (which is great not having to go through all the hassle of unlocking them).2 player local multiplayer is as much fun as its ever been with all the usual versus, team battle modes etc. and there is an attempt at a single player story mode thing. The 360 controller as always is crap for fighting games but it doesn't fair as badly with this as it did with say Streetfighter IV.My mate also bought it and said he has found it laggy as hell online though (I found quite a few fighting games are though to be fair).I would say if you like the series its worth £18 for sure. This Christmas just add your mates and beer !.

7.5/10 from me.

Hope this helps ! :)

Also just noticed IL 2 Sturmovik is £17.99 for the 360 : Here

A few new games plummeting in price this morning ! :)

Tekken 6 £17.99 (360/PS3) :

360 Version

PS3 Version

I paid £35 for this on release and have only actually played it once ! :(

Just checked CEX are giving £29 cash,£33 exchange for the PS3 version and £27 cash and £31 exchange for the 360 version.

Reckon these are going to disappear fast at this price so would order quickly if anyone wants one.

Take it in context, they were being asked about bringing it to Europe in 2009.  Sony are saying it will come but they don't have a release date yet.

You are the PS3 king around here pb so you're probably right (I don't don't even own one).I was told it wasn't going to be released over here at all ?.

This is Sony's official response (unless its very recently changed ?) :

'We are currently looking into options to bring God of War I and II to SCEE consumers on PS3; however it will not be possible to release the games this calendar year. We will provide further information in due course.'

So its looks possible that there may not be a European release for this game (certainly no confirmed date at present) and will it be much cheaper than £28 if it does finally make an appearance in Europe anyway ?.Goods from Axelmusic usually take about a week to arrive so its a decent option for anyone after a copy.

The only cheap Assassins Creed I saw was the Argos deal a couple of months ago,but that's finished.Game have it for £39.99 less double reward points (if your order it before release date) and 6% Quidco cashback (about £2.40).Seems  to be the best option at the moment. Can also collect it from store if required.

God Of War Collection PS3 Region Free Import (apparently its not being released in Europe) £28.70 delivered : Here

Axelmusic pre-pay all taxes and VAT before shipping and ship European items from within the EU so no customs/taxes hassles.Excellent company used them a few times.

not quite, it's easier.  You don't need the computer part.  Well, you do if you want to change the security settings and add a password to your homeplug, but then that's just a one off thing.

So...

1. Plug in Homeplug/dLAN to wall socket or (non-surge protected) extension.
2. Plug Ethernet wire between Homeplug and Router
3. Plug in other Homeplug/dLAN anywhere else in the house (again, non-surge protected)
4. Plug in Ethernet wire to this and to your console/ second pc/whatever else you have that takes Ethernet.

Thanks a billion pb! Didn't realise you could do that! So just to clarify,

1.You plug your router into your ADSL.
2.You connect one ethernet cable from the router into your computer.
3.Then connect the Microlink dLAN Adapter from the router, and plug it into a wall socket
4.Then you just plug the other MicroLink dLAN Adapter from any wall socket upstairs and plug it into the xbox?!

Think i've got that wrong, sounds too easy.

No, you don't need to.

Just buy a Homeplug starter kit (check these out ) the four port ones take a single Ethernet connection from your router wherever it is in the house and you just plug the other socket in to any wall socket anywhere else in your house to provide another Ethernet connection there.

It will work with your current connection so no need to unplug anything and if you get a 4 port one (I've got the Linksys and did a review of it in the tech forum) you can plug 4 ethernet connection in.

Problem is, the computer still needs internet access while i'm on xbox live, so my parents can use it. I don't particularly want to go wireless, but it's better than having a wire going through the house and having to plug/unplug an ethernet cable everytime i want to go on xbox live/internet. Thanks for the find btw pete :)
