A little bit early i know, but i just can't wait to get my hands on it. Basically thought we would need to have a thread where we can all discuss this game, i know plenty of us are getting it and in that sense we should have a place where we can talk about it.
Also useful if you find any secrets / collectables etc etc, but remember to use the SPOILER buttons - as some people may not be as far!
I have just uploaded all 50 Achievemtns in the cheats section so we can help each other with them or give assistance and guidance to getting them.
Would be good if we could also get people posting if they going online and fancy a match, the usual stuff but i figure a big game like this deserves some special attention.
Look forward to hearing your thought on the game and playing Online with you!

Managed to do more co-op with Simian last night, got into the last Act and pretty near the end i think.
Story is good, really enjoying it, would like to hopefully get it all finished off in the next day or two. And as i have done it on Hardcore it will unlock a few extra achievements and done it all on co-op aswell. which is all good stuff!

I am approaching the end of the 4th Act and i have heard the 5th is a wind down and not that long, so hopefully i can get the storry done before the weekend and then i can concentrate on picking up a couple more achievements and playing COD5 and Naruto.
But the story does flow pretty well and i think it is a great plot!

100,000 kills is too much, i will not be getting that one!
I dont mind helping people out on level in Horde if i am about, my concentration will go on to the co-op story mode now, i am on Act 4, Chaptger 3..... i think. So getting towards the end and i want to see how the story goes as so far it has been great

Don't think so :(
Best thing is you can work towards the "kill 100,000" achievement on Horde. So far, the best way I've found to notch up kills is to play on the level with the huge transporters, whack on the cannon towards the hordes of locusts with grappling hooks across the way - easy 100 or so kills :D

ah.... the kids have just gone back to bed (being ill, they keep getting up).
Wonder if anyone else is going to be around for Horde now that 3 of you have got up to 50. Really hope people keep on playing, it's good fun on it's own just playing and trying to survive.
is there an Achievement for doing a certain amount in a row without dying or restarting?

I finally did it, me and Black finished the last couple off, Simian was with us but his connection kept going. I actually feel like i have really earned that achievement, kind of wish something else was unlocked, but still very satisfying!

I'm up to level 9 on my own, but like pb, had fun joining in at the higher levels, I've not done too much either. Hopefully will be on soon :)

The problem is that I've just been having so much fun joining in other Horde games that I've not really done much in the way of the early levels.

Me and Simian are at lv 48 - but with just two of us it is pretty hard, so we will be enlisting the help of at least one other person for tonight's campaign. Then i will finally have the achievement. All the hard work will be worth it, then just need to finish the last few bits of the co-op and it is happy days

Right - well i will be on about 5ish, who else can make that kind of time??
I found out that you need to do every wave yourself to get achievements, but i am hoping that you will be able to see which ones your have not done (by when you select a level it will miss ones who have not done!)
So lets crack on with some horde action people!
Also for those of you wondering, here is a list of all the final executions so you can get the other achievement.
I will hide it - just incase you want to discover them for yourself

Yeah, that should be really easy with a full squad. Having no big guys and those bloodmount things getting in is great.

I will be on from 5 - 7:30 tonight (going skiiing) then back on again later, so will be deffo up for some horde action.
I reckon you have to actually do all 50 Levels, so i have missed 3 or 4 of them - then i will not get the achievement, that sucks, i will have to make sure i go back and do them

Me and Simian got to level 25, there's a level 'Hail' I think which is easy to do Horde on because you can get in a train carrage and none of the Big Muthas can get at you. Should be able to fly through it with 4 or 5 of us on that level!

I joined the others after you left last night, Emmie. I was on earlier, but no one was around, so I jumped back on around 11 something.
Jubba, you've got to join us to try and beat Horde (well, get as far as we can). it was virtually impossible with only 3 of us last night, we really need 5 to get through it (and a strategy!).

Basically you team up with 4 other people (friends make it most fun) then you have to survive Wave after Wave of attack, stay together and work as a team to take them out.
You get power ups after each 10 waves, you get one life per wave, so if you die you are out until the next wave. It is loads of fun as you help each other and work as a team.
When you reach wave 10 you get an achievement and wave 50 - but as i have played wave 19 i can start from there, so i want to know if me and you went in at wave 10 - would you get the achievement as you aint done wave 1-9??

Ive completed the game on Coop with my gf on Normal so just horde, multiplayer and Hardcore & Insane to do.

Few of us got some more Horde in - think i went to level 20 and other carried on when i went down the pub to about 24ish
Which means anyone can jump in at that stage now. I would be curious to see anyone who has not made it to level 10 - if they could just join me and a few others AT level 10 and then see if they get the achievement, then we know it should work that way for Wave 50!

This was purely because my girlfriend was very bored of GoW (idiot i know) and so i stopped at about 9:45 ish
It was my brother on FIFA at that time, i was in bed asleep lol, get up at 6:50 these days, so need to get my sleep in.
oh and pb we finally got to level 10 in Horde, i left at level 14 but Black and that went on to 19 i think. You can re-start at any wave you have played, so i am wondering if we were to all go in at wave 19 and go to 50 would that give the achievement??

the story of a well written game is so much better than most the TV shows that are on. But i do sometimes feel bad if i make my gf watch games for too long, if she reading or on her laptop its ok, but sometimes she enjoys it and asks whats happening

It's mostly because we still have a lot of sorting out papers and general work to do, plus she doesn't really see gaming in the same light as watching TV.
I maintain that gaming is better for you, especially if you're watching Eastenders!

Me and Black are about 1/2 way or 2/3 through the story i think, going through co-op to pick all achievements and it is loads more fun IMO.
If we can all get on Horde it would be a good laugh but if i see people drifitng about i will send the game invite
My gf was just laughing at me with the headset on, but she was on her laptop so she was happy enough

Tip 1: never tell your wife that you'll be on GOW2 for an hour. You know it's going to be way more than that :)

Good Game last night everyone - so close to that 10th level lol, but were some funny moments.
To people who don't know;
Myself, pb, Black8704 and Simian all joined up and took on Horde in GoW2 - we are looking for one more person who would be up for the challenge. I will be on there again tonight, hopefully the others can make it on aswell for another few games!

I have just found it takes a while to get into games online, maybe it is just because i was playing a peak times and it was very busy.
Horde loads fine and the story mode co-op is just brilliant, cant wait to get home and do more!
