I know some of us on the forums are lucky enough to have Mario Kart on the Wii or know people with the Game, so i figured, for a little bit of fun. Why not do some Gameaday time trials.(no actual prizes can be won)
Basically, i will start with a track and within the next 24 hours, post your best LAP AND TOTAL CIRCUIT TIME of that track, then the next poster after the winner can name a new track to try it on.
Now i know you could cheat if you want to but i think the winner should submit picture evidence! or i know a lot of you have got each others FC and you should be able to see the time.
Please note that the best Lap time and Best Total time are underline, in bold and italic
The League works like this:
1st place gets 4 points, 2nd place gets 2 and 3rd place gets 1
There is a league for both total time on the track and an individual Lap, so make sure you post both!
The Third Track - We need to ensure that some people start stealing points for circuit time, or else it will be a 3 man race for 1st place! Good luck

Ok, I'll give it a go.
I think we need to add each other as friends and then you can see everyone's best lap time and download their ghost data etc.

That's strange because I've downloaded quite a few ghost datas. Perhaps if you try the rankings screen and click on my name, you can download it. Maybe I have to do something to put my ghost data available to the masses. I think it just does it but I don't know.

If you go to rankings and then select the course and friends you should be able to get it from there. I have improved my score to 27 something, add my FC and race the Ghost

I've done that. When I click on GP I only get the option to send my own data. I can download other peoples. Have you set yours up to share your ghosts GP?

Yeah, if you go into the game, then select the Mario KArt channel, then select options. I think you have to opt in, as it were.

Darn - I thought I was good with 1:25.950 :)
I've got a faster lap time though - just trying to find a scoreboard in the game which will let me check it again as I didn't memorise it quick enough to type on here...

Yeah, I had to do my lap times again, just to find out what my single lap time was. I couldn't find a way of checking it. I could do a really quick single lap if I wanted to but hooking 3 laps up is much better for me.

i got to get my lap time back up - i think i had a good lap, but not a great overall, think 1.31 overall. I tried racing the person who is first in the World' ghost on Peach Beach and he was pretty fast!

Oddly my best lap times seem to come on Rainbow Road! I seem to get star ranking a lot on that one, I'll have to check out my times tonight. The only one I can remember off hand is the luigi circuit with a time of around 1:28:489 and a lap time of 00:28:784 though I'll have to check these as well.

I used to use Yoshi as he my fav character. and i got about a27 second lap with him.
But i am using King Boo with the Off-roader at the moment. But still occasionally use The Turbo Blooper with Yoshi as it's a good kart

Just tried Peach Beach, you guys are freaks! :D No matter what I've tried with who I've tried, I just can't get past 1:35:462 :(
Best lap time was someting close to dead 30 secs.

Watching other peoples ghosts is a good way to learn, even if it's just a time a second faster than yours.
I'll have a look at the options and see if I can sort out the ghost problem.

What problems are you having? It seems if I want to send you my Ghost data, I just go to the Mario Kart Channel -> Rankings -> Time Trial Rankings -> I see you at the top of my friends ranking page. I click on you and choose Send Ghost Data.
Which I've actually clicked on now, so you have the simple challenge of knocking me down now ^-^

I think I know the problem - Nintendo doesn't save everyones ghost data online - only the fastest persons. So you can only send your data to someone, you can't download theirs.
Grandprix has to send his data to you, rather than you get it from him, if that makes sense?
Any chance of changing it from fastest lap to total time? You can see the times of all your friends online, but only for the total time.

Please see original post for current Data - Grandprix your doing well, and remember you should be able to use each other's Friend Codes to confirm their score.
But none of us would cheat, where is the fun in that!

On Beach beach i tend to - on the first lap go to the right off the big bit of water, then on the second lap go left to hit the speed boost then back to the right for the third lap, normally use mushrooms on 2nd or 3rd lap
But i am now starting to use Heavy characters so this will either Help or Hinder!

Cheers Emmie, but I'm not sure it will help. I just used all three mushrooms in one lap, and somehow still only managed a 00:30:012

I used a bike, and got 01:29:069 with a lap time of 00:29:815
Would be better but I had to break = stupid duck things
EDIT: Tried once more, and got 01:28:315 with a lap time of 00:29:018 so I'm not last, take that YH :P and now I can sleep :)

Hmph! I usually use DK as the heavy characters have the highest top speed. Generally go over the speed jump to the left of the water each lap, but it does mean you have to use your mushroom on laps 1 & 3 there, as you land in the water.
Might have to try your route tonight.

I used to use the heavy characters, King Boo was among my favourites too. The time I got there is with Toad using the Magikoopa bike.
