I'll play it again when I get an HDTV. My CRT makes it impossible to read the text!
Also heard Capcom are being sued by the producers of Dawn Of The Dead...

Yeah it's one to come back to, a bit like Oblivion in that kind of way.
I haven't played either to 'overkill' level. I tend to stop playing before then, although rentals can be a different story. :D

I can see what you mean dead rising can get boring after a while but if you don't stick to the storyline you can mess about and find new things. I personally got stuck vs carlito with the sniper rifle. AND THATS HOW I MET ZOMBIE BRAD IN THE CARPARK AND FOUND THE UNBREAKABLE CATANA AS WELL AS SEVERAL MACHINE GUNS. JUST GIVE THIS GAME A WHILE AND YOU START TO LIKE IT AGAIN.

heh, I wouldn't say it made me ill! No, I have Gears of War till after Christmas now (the person I'm borrowing it from is going away) and Saint's Row as well. That will keep me going for a while until I can save some more money or do more trade-ins. Prior to Xmas it's the Wii based games and after that I need to get another 12 months of Live and some more Xbox games.

Ditto - I think I'm a little sensitive for the dead rising - it was fun, until it made me feel ill. I'm gonna get it back next year sometime. Check GAME for special offers - deal of the weeks change weekly (duh) but some good bargains do come up...

You sure there's no incomplete demo downloads? They take up the full amount of space, even if you only downloaded 1% of them. Or what about that Final Fantasy beta thingy? apparently that takes up a ton of room.
Otherwise you should have 12gb spare memory originally, so I've no idea what you've filled it with.

After reading what you got on your, Tilt, I'm now sure I've missed something...
Just checked it out;
3.5Gb free, ok, so let's see what's taking up the rest:
4x XBL Arcade Games (191Mb)
6x Demos (3.8Gb)
Game saves (485Mb) - Halo 2 is gobbling up a hefty 416Mb - I do'nt even play it, maybe time for a delete
Gamer Profiles (3Mb)
Videos (711Mb)
Themes (33Mb)
Gamerpics (4Mb)
Add that up and you get 5227Mb.
3.5Gb + 5.2Gb does NOT make 20Gb. What the fu...?
No incomplete files found or anything like that either.

Same here.
Did you go to the actual memory section Bullet and not just delete the demos directly?
That's where the hidden 'unfinished demos' are located.

Christ, what have you got on your Hard drive?
I've got a few demos, 20+ arcade games, a bunch of video clips, a few gamerpic packs and themes, bonus content for Oblivion and Call of Duty 2 amongst a few others and I'm not even close to getting a full hardrive.

Check your HD memory, I keep finding 'unfinished' demo downloads taking up loads of space on my HD. They seem to turn up out of nowhere too. :S

I bought Dead Rising on Friday along with Phantasy Star Universe. I haven't touched Dead Rising yet but instead clocked up 40 hours on PSU over the weekend with more to come this week, but I'll get around to it eventually.

Traded mine in last night. + a bunch of old Xbox games I can't work on the 360. Got Oblivion and that strange FIFA 07 game! Can't quite get to grips with it yet!

Trust me, it's still difficult to save for it. All my wages go on bills and kids, so it's just a matter of trade-ins and trying to earn some money on the side (sales of stuff I don't need, ebay etc)

Heh, I haven't gone back to Dead Rising since I last posted about it - purely because of the save system.
Think I'll be trading it in and will just keep hold of the demo for whenever I fancy a mini-rampage.
Will be trading it in along with N3 and PD0 to get some Wii credit. No more games until that is out. WoW will keep me going until then.

I know what you mean. Though I'm in two minds whether to part with the full game as I just enjoy going around killing Zombies anyway (and the demo only lasts 15 mins). However, the Wii launch looms closer and I need more money for launch titles.
Mind you, I'm also interested in Just Cause...

Can't get into it at all, kind of play for an hour or so then just get bored of it, it's like this with most games now though which is why I stopped bothering. Sold my Warcraft account and was counting on this to get me back into normal games.
Can't help but think I'd have more fun if the time structure didn't exist and time progressed as you completed the case studies. Some of the side missions are pretty fun to do but trying to keep up with the main story and the really frustrating save system meaning you have to keep heading to save points every time you get past something is spoiling it a lot.
Just wanting a laid back game that's easy to play, guess my expectations were just different to the final game.
Had more fun playing the Lego Star Wars 2 demo, might just go with that til I can get into Dead Rising.

You shouldn't dissapointed, specially with all the top draw games coming out between now and Xmas.
Now the only problem is finding the time and funds to spend on them, my social life (what social life?) is gonna be in the decline once Splinter Cell, Pro Evo and all the other sweet looking games hit the stores.

Funny how that Roadhouse map is the best one (and most played) considering it's the only map that doesn't feature the gravity changing elements.
Have to say it's grown on me over today and I've been throughly beating all-comers on Roadhouse this evening.
Shame the ranked matches are all but gone, it's a bit like Far Cry in that that respect - everyone's on the 'player maps'.
When it's down to ten quid I might buy it if I can find out if ranked matches are still going on it.
Couldn't face playing through it again on the higher difficulty - it's simply not that interesting next to the multiplayer.

I enjoyed Prey, it managed to do the whole sci-fi space setting without becoming too repetetive. Though it did seem to run out of party tricks about halfway through, and I expect Halflife 2 to school it on the use of Portals next year.
Still fun though and one of the best shooters I've played this year, was a bit short though as you said and could have done with a few more open sections instead of the usual corridor style levels. It's a shame really that it didn't manage to keep up the same feeling of excitement and wonder that the opening sections had.

Finished it already.
If I'd have bought it properly it'd be back at the shop by now, short multiplayer achievements too. The whole thing seems geared towards making it just rental fodder. :S

Only real problem I've had with the game is the survivor AI can be a little dumb at times, but then again when you see the size of the crowds of zombies you're guiding them through, it's not really suprising they get a little eaten at times. As long as you have plenty of pointy objects on you, and make sure to give them all their own weapons, it shouldn't be too muchb of a problem. Though guiding large amounts of survivors at night can be a little hairy, you think they're all with you then you realise that some dumb blonde is actually about 50 aisles back getting gang raped by a load of undead pusbags. Best to keep the large escort missions confined to the day time I've found.
The save system while annoying at the start, really isn't as bad as people have made out. You get used to it and it's soon no problem at all. The time schedule while rushing you about at times, really creates a sense of tension as you run back and forth attempting to save as many people as possible. Also if you ever get fed up with the tight time schedule, you can just completly ignore it and go off on a killathon and fail the main story, but still finish the game with a bad ending.
Personally I'd say it's one of the best and most original games on the 360, I loved every minute of it and intend on playing through multiple more times even though I've completed it 3 times already.

I'm sold already on Dead Rising. Was going to pick it up today in town but £48.99 de-sold it. Amazon are doing it for £39.99 and I'm tempted again, but might wait a while until I can grab it for £29.99 as I'm so cheap.

Only Hitman and Ghost Recon have impressed me so far on the 360 but apart from them I just ended up buying loads of games, playing them once and never bothering again.. Saw this the other day when looking round and it looks pretty sweet, always enjoyed State of Emergency so hopefully it will be everything State of Emergency should've been had it not looked so rushed.

You can play music and view photographs from an external USB hard drive/mp3 player or digi camera. Not sure about backed up DVD movies though - doubt it.
If you have a PC running windows media edition you can connect to the xbox and watch movie files from your PC and with some additional software watch various movie file formats so you could probably do it that way.
