Every day that I am here, I try to understand a little more,
Forget what I thought I knew and learn what I did not before.

Yet it angers me to find that what I sometimes used to guess,
Becomes more true with every day, and that's the world's a ****ing mess.

I will not bend to give up on those things that I wish to change,
I cannot pretend that these things are just simply out of range.

All you need is imagination to see the things that could be there,
To perhaps treat every situation with nothing more than love and care.

So give me strength to change the things that I know I truly could,
And make me wise to leave the things that no-one ever should.

Will fear blockade all of which you have that's truly good inside?
Will you give up on asking questions and say that you have tried?

Take up the mind to listen close to check what you can alter,
With patience change the things you can, and you will never falter.
