Some new info on Cube Europe, basically:
+ The game is said to be 2 - 3 times *larger* than OOT.
+ Link will grow up as the game progresses
+ The starting town acts as an introduction where you wear normal clothes and have to round up cows on your horse within a time limit.
And some new screenshots. Click Here.
Nintendo, a release date of tomorrow please.

So OoT + Fable + Lord of the Rings then.
Keep it coming.

I already consider it the best game ever, I haven't been so excited over a game for ages.
Also, they've blatently stolen so much from the LOTR films, which makes it even better.

This looks great.
It's the only exclusive licence I care about on the Cube now Rare's gone.

That's pretty big, I have to say.

Interesting...

What? Rounding up cows? Oh well, at least it means you have a horse (is it Epona?) from the start.
This is the most excited I've ben about a game for ages. Roll on *insert release date*.

Yet sadly, 95% of the gaming population won't give it a second glance simply because it's on the Gamecube.

Latest message again brings me here.
I've arranged to buy a 2nd-hand Cube from a mate. And the only reason for it is because of this game. Ocarina of Time was so outstanding and I'm not really a gamer, so I've had no reason to get one up until now.
What's the basic plot, anyone know?

I'm guessing 'save the princess by powering yourself up through collecting magical items'.

I like it. Could have thought of it myself though, really.
"As far as the controller scheme goes it will be similar to The Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time, whereby jumping will happen automatically and the L-button is used for targeting enemies."
Thank God it'll still have my beloved L-targeting. I'm gonna get out my old N64 tomorrow methinks.

I don't think so, well, not the main plot anyway.
In the videos you see a huge army of big creatures + war machines coming over a hill, looks like they've gone for a bigger 'OMG Hyrule is being attacked' type thing.
I hope it's something like that, and while the two armies are clashing Link works behind the scenes to tip the battle in their favour by powering up stuff with magical items..

Nah, I smell a Tolkienesque plot for this one.
Without the beards and wizards though.

3 times larger than OoT ... that's probably slightly too big, methinks.

What, really? Damn. Link could do with growing a beard and showing Zelda he's all man these days.
No manfuzz for that pixie.

If it's as good as OOT it will be nice.
If its a bit tedious like Wind waker, it might get a tad boring after a few years of playing.

Aye, perhaps. That massive landscape does look pretty sweet - but do you really want to spent 10 minutes riding from one place to the next?
Don't know in what way exactly '3 times larger" means though.
It might just mean the amount of memory the whole game takes up, in which case, 3 times as much as OoT would be pretty rubbish.

So we want a huuuuge Kokiri Forest and a huuuuge Lake are, but dead close?
Excellent. Epona would run out of carrots far too quickly otherwise.

In the LOTR there's a huge army of big creatures + war machines coming and it's a 'OMG Middle Earth is being attacked' type thing.
And while the two armies are clashing Frodo and gang work behind the scenes to tip the battle in their favour by un-powering the nasty man with the aid of magical items..

Huge is good especially if you have a fast horse to use to get around. If it's properly filled, and not just lots of useless empty space between places, then it'll be great.

Yeah, but you still have to explore, don't you? Exploring a fat lot of nothing would be balls, even if there's Poes to hunt and stuff.

Big world with SoAL-like Discoveries to uncover and various random bits and bobs located on a nice big world map, without any wide open spaces with nothing interesting in them.
And Warp-Points, yep. By bum-kazoo or something.

If he is.. time to test out those new bomb-arrows.

Would you guys welcome a return of the transforming masks from Majora? I personally liked the flying fin-boomerangs. Being a Goron sucked though.
