... last night. And I'd forgotten how good it is. I finished it originally before Christmas, so I haaven't touched it for ages.
I played through to when you leave the guild, and I really enjoyed it. I'd forgotten how funny some of the guards comments are "Accessory to improper man and lady behaviour", "Deserting sentry duty when asked very nicely" etc etc.
I'd also forgotten about the look and feel of the game, it's how I'd imagined a game of a Terry Pratchett book would feel.
I've decided to play through it differently this time, take my time and not rush off to do the main quests. I want to open the Demon Doors and do the Silver Keys thing as well. I've also decided that I want to slaughter a complete village, just to see what happens really.
Yes, there's things in the game that were supposed to be in there, that didn't make it. But that happens to every game. And if you don't let your self get taken in by the hype, and just play the game for what it is - an enjoyable, RPG-Lite - then I can't see how you can fail to like it.
Sure, Morrowind has more depth, but what normal person has the time, or the patience to play for about 15 hours before you can even lift up a sword?
A lot of people slated Fable when it first came out, but I've got a feeling I'm going to enjoy it even more this time around....

Nope, some how they restrict you from doing that too. Possibly by covering your hands with binliners.

Yep and one of the villages removes your weapon while your visiting it so you can't kill anyone there, ever!.

I killed the 'forest village' but you can't kill the chief which kind of breaks the 'do anything' vibe.
There's a few bits like that like there's a mission where you have to escort two traders but on the way you pass a temple you can sacrifice them to. 'Time for some evil deeds' I think until I sacrifice them and it says 'You failed' and I have to go back and escort them again, oh I'm SO very free to do what I like GRRR.

I did that with the heros starting village, once you kill an NPC who owns a house you can buy that house if you have the funds and the guards attack.
If you kill the guards more spawn and harder versions of the guards spawn but it's all good err evil fun maahahahahahahah.

Go and find a cliff. Walk to the edge then shout "Goodbye cruel world" and jump. Please.

Sorry for the pop. I was just wondering if anyone knew if you could do anything with the journal wirtten by Lady Grey's sister once you find it? Or does Lady Grey get away with the murder and you can't do anything?
