I have heard a rumor from a friend that there is going to be a Half-Life 3 maybe in 2006. I think it will continue from HL2. Can anyone shine some info on the subject?

I think the long waits are marketing strategy by Valve, it gives years of hype and helps build up a lot of anticipation. They also want it to redefine FPS's with every new release in the saga. I’ll give it to 2007 mid until we see it.

It will be an improvement graphics wise i'm sure, what with the new lighting stuff or what ever it was that they have added, but i can't imagine they would do a new engine for HL3 unless they leave it a few years.

My PC struggles running HL2 as well. The graphics on Half-Life 3 will properly be amazing (twice as better than HL2). CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

Half life 3 was being worked on before HL2 was released have got a clue about the release date as knowing valve it will be wrong.
